About the adventure
This adventure is designed for beginners with no past experience in Daggerheart or TTRPGs required. I will teach you the rules, provide you with pre-generated characters and tell an exciting, dramatic swashbuckling story set in fantasy air ship adventure. Your group has been hired as extra security for the HMS Windfall, a merchant ship under the command of merchant captain Augustus Kaine. He charts a course to the Kinekozan Jags, a lawless wilderness rich in rare magical components. The captain boasts that his ship's new prototype engine makes the Windfall the fastest ship in the sky, guaranteed to corner the market or rare goods and outmaneuver any danger they may encounter. But as they approach the lofty mountain peaks, the adventurers best be on their guard. The Crimson Cloud, a pirate vessel defeated by the Windfall, has been spotted lurking in the area, and may be plotting revenge... Expect a rollicking adventure full of action, roleplaying, that will teach you the game but also focus on finding the fun and responding to player decisions! Nothing needed from your end except a computer, internet and a webcam/microphone!

Preparing for the session
Please ensure you have a Discord account, webcam (encouraged but not required), microphone and computer with stable access to the internet and good audio. Players must join this Discord server before the game starts: an invite will be sent to you on sign up. No past experience in Daggerheart is necessary to play, we will teach as we go.

How Stu creates a safe table
Safety is a priority. Owlbear Rodeo has an interface to anonymously alert the table on areas of discomfort and X cards, to ensure the game is a safe place for all participants. I will show players how to access that system and use it before the game starts. Ahead of the game, players can also provide feedback on any lines or veils they have to me via DM so I can fully accommodate their needs and adjust things. Feedback is collected at the end of the game and valued highly - I'm always eager to improve. This game is a positive, hopeful and optimistic tone and while darker subject matter is present, it will be managed with a light hand.
