About the adventure
The town of Phandalin- quiet, hard working people surrounded by grasslands, forests and mountains. A group of ne'er do wells moving in to try controlling the area. Whispers of a mine holding untold treasure buzzing through the lone tavern. And you, a group of adventurers, arriving amidst it all with one question- who has captured your contact? In this extended story- a secretive group seems to be pulling together an ancient evil bent on bringing the entire plane under its thrall. Will your group work together to prevent that from happening? The adventure begins! And you get to choose what direction it goes. I'll take whatever background or lore you have for your character and work it into the story to really center it around you. Online maps, character tokens, and optional background ambiance help bring the world to life. BUT WHY SOBER?: - Don't have to worry about people getting too drunk during games! (Has happened to me before) - Fun that doesn't require drinking! - A fully functional world that doesn't require alcohol for fun! - People who understand what you might be going through during the day!

About me
I am a geeky drama therapist (in training!) who plans to work with TTRPGs as a part of my practice- which will be once I get my license! Right now its just having fun in the theatre of the mind. I've been running games professionally for a good two years at this point, though 70% was teaching/playing with people attending a young adult residential. The other 30% is online with some awesome people. I lean towards the rule of cool side of things, but rules as written help make the game a bit more difficult and fun. Usually, if you can make a case for it, I'll go with it. I have a BFA in acting- so expect silly voices. Personal character voices also encouraged, cause hey, its fun. Come play with me! (I speak these geek dialects - TMNT, star wars, star trek, firefly, LOTR, Critical Role, BG3, Dr. Who, Disney, and a few others to a lesser degree. )

Creating your character
- This adventure runs from Level 1 to Level 12- and can always extend into other play. - Players will have the option of a premade character or making their own! - Currently all Forgotten Realms source books are accepted! I will be able to share the Players Hand Book for basics. - Characters will be created on DnD Beyond for ease of organization. Don't worry, it's a free account! - Someone will be available if there's ever any questions- and you'll have your own private channel on our Discord server to help keep things organized.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
1. Make sure you have DISCORD (free). We'll be inviting you to a server for ease of communication and organization. 2. Make sure you have DnD BEYOND (free) 3. Make sure you have ROLL20 (free) 4. Make sure you have the BEYOND20 extension! (free) During your first session, we'll ensure you have all of these and that they're hooked up before we play.
What Madame Moiselle (Mads) brings to the table
I love to do voices, and love when you do them too! I stick to rules as written, but lean towards Rule of Cool more when the rules get sticky. Ambient music is an option, I also know that in certain groups it is distracting, or difficult to hear past- I try to leave that up to the group that is playing.

How Madame Moiselle (Mads) creates a safe table
Before joining a game, everyone will complete a consents list to ensure that everyone has a chance to voice their hard limits. Each game starts off with a basic reminder of the important rules and safeties in place- nothing exhaustive, just a team reminder! Throughout the game, if something is starting to feel icky or uncomfortable, yellow and red will be the color communicators that trigger a check in or a full stop. Every game will end with a stars and wishes moment, and a debrief if anything needs to be addressed.
