About the adventure

Right Now... It is night. A cold breeze moves quickly past you. The path around the corner is blocked by a gathering fog. You glance over your shoulder. More fog. The airy mist wildly moves closer. It touches you. Damp vapors from the Mist stick to your clothes. Suddenly surrounded by it, revealing terrifying silhouette just as the mist abruptly vanishes. Then a bell lightly tapping the sides of it self, it sounds like a scream. The smell of salt water and the sound of music. The mist rolls backwards through a porthole. Stranded in a wet dark storage deck in an unknown ship. Wind blows upon the haul. Creaky boards, the sound of music, the blowing of wind are muffled by a crash of lightning. A thunderous storm has broken upon this eerily empty harbor. Yours is the only ship, you can see. A few leagues away, fog. The same smokey cloud you had seen swirl up around you just moments before. Flashes of lightning reveal horrifying creatures lurking up from the water. But you are not where you were before. Water slushes against the small transport ship. You can hear the timber shifting. Ropes tied, hang from the upper deck to the water. Thick iron lanterns, stand at each street corner. Hilly roads lead into a village. There are only four piers of this port. Besides your own ship, it is empty. Pellets of rain hit the shingles of the tavern and an old wind mill. The Rusted Fish's sign sways violently against the wind, "Inn & Bar". Water pours from the stuffed gutters. Near the shore are storage houses. The mill's sails shiver with each strike of lightning. Ropes tie the arms down with spokes to the ground. An accordion wails their notes against the storm. Through a window, the Inn's hearth looks lit. About me

Hey there, I've DM's for over 20 years in various systems but mostly D&D and World of Darkness. I include your character's backstories and ideas for them in each game we play together. I use the improv rule of yes, and no but better. My games tend to be more sandbox choice driven. There are quests lines and story points for characters to explore in each scene, at least once. I have the rule of sure. We can try it anything you can think of, using your abilities or skill checks, burning a comparable spell, etc. I also have a couple Alerts for the live games. Yellow Alert, is for if anything gets intense for ya. We take a break and come back to understand what we need to do to move forward; recon the last scene, come up with a better idea, etc. Blue Alert, a quick way to announce your stepping away with out having to give details or interrupt play. All my game have their own Discord Channel with Private Character Journals, resources/support for character creation and RP Chat, for catching up on the excitement and fun of the game between sessions, and adding to the adventure! Have fun Adventurer!
