About the adventure
# Elandria's Veil: The Shattered Crystal *A Dungeons & Dragons 5e campaign set in the world of Exandria* Beyond the maps of Exandria, hidden from mortal history since the Founding, lies **Elandria's Veil**—a breathtaking pocket realm of enchanted forests, ancient cities, crystalline caverns, and forgotten civilizations. Created by the gods as part of a divine prison designed to contain an ancient cosmic horror, the realm has remained isolated for millennia under the watch of immense Caretaker Crystals that preserve the balance between magic and reality. But one of those crystals has shattered, and the Veil is beginning to unravel. Your adventure begins as a simple bounty to investigate a mysterious crater. What starts as a local mystery quickly evolves into an epic journey across a living world filled with political intrigue, dangerous wilderness, powerful factions, ancient ruins, and impossible choices. As you uncover the truth behind the failing Caretaker Crystals, you'll decide the fate of Elandria's Veil—and perhaps all of Exandria. No two paths through this campaign are the same. Your decisions shape the world, influence its people, and determine who rises, who falls, and what legends are remembered. This campaign is ideal for players who love **immersive roleplay**, **meaningful character development**, **exploration**, and **challenging tactical combat**. Expect memorable NPCs with their own goals and personalities, mysteries that reward curiosity, handcrafted maps and artwork, cinematic storytelling, and encounters where diplomacy can be just as powerful as steel. Whether you're negotiating with rival factions, delving into forgotten temples, or standing against creatures twisted by corrupted crystal magic, every session is designed to make your choices matter. Whether you're a longtime fan of Critical Role or simply looking for an original high-fantasy adventure, **Elandria's Veil** offers a rich, living world inspired by Exandria while telling a completely original story. New players are always welcome, and experienced adventurers will find plenty of deep lore, challenging encounters, and unforgettable moments waiting beyond the Veil.

Meet the Game Master
About me
I became a Dungeon Master because I wanted to play D&D, but no one had a campaign available—so I said, "What the heck!" Having DM’d HeroQuest before, I figured it couldn’t be too far off. I dove in, learned everything I could, and ran my first one-shot campaign. It was a blast! The group had so many laughs, and the excitement of creating an adventure that we could all look back on fondly was enough to hook me. From there, I started running my first full campaign, which led to my first homebrew world. My players loved it so much they’re already talking about playing it again! Now, with nearly three years of DMing experience, I’ve found my passion in crafting engaging, linear adventures that keep players on their toes—wondering what’s around the next corner. I love bringing challenging and unique encounters that go beyond the standard dungeon crawl, keeping players invested and engaged. If you’re looking for a game where you’ll laugh, strategize, and create unforgettable memories, then let’s roll some dice and dive into adventure together!

Creating your character
## Character Creation Characters will be created **before Session 1**, with a free **Session 0** dedicated to building your character, discussing party connections, and integrating your backstory into the world of Elandria's Veil. I work with every player individually to ensure your character has meaningful ties to the story and opportunities to shine throughout the campaign. **Starting Level:** 3 **Ability Scores:** Point Buy or Standard Array (your choice) **Platform:** D&D Beyond (preferred) with Roll20 VTT and Discord ### Allowed Content * All officially published Dungeons & Dragons 5e material is welcome. * Critical Role content, including subclasses and options from *Explorer's Guide to Wildemount* and *Tal'Dorei Campaign Setting Reborn*, is allowed. * Homebrew and Unearthed Arcana may be approved on a case-by-case basis if they fit the setting and are balanced. ### Character Guidelines * Create a character who has a reason to work with the party and engage with the story. * Characters should be heroes (or at least willing to become one). Evil characters that undermine the party or disrupt the game are not permitted. * Creative backstories are encouraged! I'll incorporate your character's history, allies, rivals, goals, and unresolved mysteries into the campaign whenever possible. No extensive knowledge of Exandria or Critical Role is required. If you're brand new to the setting—or even to D&D—I'll help you build a character that fits naturally into the world and explain anything you need to know before we begin.
What to expect
Preparing for the session

How Zeraphicx creates a safe table
I don't have a Lines and Veils Document but I keep each players preferences on safety in my notes so when planning sessions each players can feel welcome and safe at my tables. That being said I do Session Zero (0) and it is always free. I do aftercare, X,N,& O cards can be messaged via discord. I also have an open door policy for coming to me any time for a problem with another player. I keep all player conversations private so no embrassing knowledge of a player is known to the others without their consent.
