About the adventure

A merchant vessel thought lost at sea has returned to Luskan—but no one answers from its deck. As harbor bells ring and uneasy crowds gather along Dragon Beach, a group of adventurers is asked to board the silent ship, search for survivors, and discover what happened before fear and rumor overtake the City of Sails. Watch the Adventure Trailer https://youtu.be/rqVO_WrFWnE The Siren’s Wake is a two-three session fantasy adventure focused on exploration, danger, cinematic action, and tactical combat, with a light mystery woven through the story. This is not a slow investigation like Blood on Dragon Beach. You will uncover clues as you explore, but the adventure quickly moves beyond the harbor into dangerous encounters, unfamiliar locations, and a rescue mission where appearances may be deceiving. This is the second adventure in The Luskan Chronicles by DM Wicked, and no previous experience is required. New players can begin here with no knowledge of earlier events, while returning players fr9m adventure 1 may recognize familiar people, places, and details from the living world of Luskan. Characters begin at Level 2 and advance to Level 3 upon successfully completing the adventure. My games emphasize player choice, teamwork, memorable NPCs, and exciting encounters that serve the story. Foundry VTT provides dynamic lighting, atmospheric maps, sound, and immersive environments. New players are welcome, and experienced players will find opportunities for creative problem-solving, roleplay, exploration, and tactical decision-making throughout the adventure.

About me

Hi! I’ve been playing TTRPGs since the 1980s, and I still get excited every time I help players dive into a new world—whether it’s a classic D&D setting or something homebrewed and unexpected. But what I truly love isn’t just the adventure... it’s the storytelling. As your GM, I specialize in collaborative, character-driven campaigns where your backstory matters. This isn’t just narrative flavor—your character’s personal history becomes part of the main story. I actively weave your background into world events, faction politics, and long-term story arcs. Even when I run published modules, I treat them like a foundation—not a script. The moment your characters step into the world, it begins to change. --- What Makes My Games Unique In my games: Your backstory shapes your character’s future Choices matter, and consequences ripple outward Known modules evolve into entirely new stories Emotional moments are just as impactful as epic battles --- Real Examples from My Campaigns From my current Tyranny of Dragons campaign: A bard’s forgotten past life ties into a magical flute that glows when she nears ancient dragon-song runes. Visions and hauntings warn of her connection to a prophecy the cult seeks to exploit. A cleric, exiled from her peaceful order, finds the decaying body of a priest from her past—clutching a letter that reveals both corruption in her faith and a hidden connection to a party member’s future. A rogue’s childhood friend is murdered, triggering a sidequest that uncovers a secret assassin and a traitor embedded in a major faction—shaping the campaign’s political web and main villain reveal. If you want a GM who invests in your story and builds a world that remembers your choices, I’d love to run a game for you.

Character creation

Creating your character

Every player is required to complete a one-on-one Session 0 with me before joining their first game. Rather than a group Session 0, we'll schedule a time that works for both of us. This session can take place anytime after you join the campaign, but must be completed no later than two hours before your first scheduled game session. During your Session 0, we'll create your character together using D&D Beyond, ensuring everything is built correctly and fully integrated with the campaign. We'll also create your character token, import your character into Foundry VTT, verify that Beyond20 is working properly (if applicable), and make sure you're comfortable using the virtual tabletop before game day. Characters begin at the adventure's starting level, and all official 2024 D&D 5e content available on D&D Beyond is welcome unless otherwise discussed. We'll generate ability scores using the campaign's standard method, review your background, equipment, spells, and character concept, and make sure your character fits naturally into both the story and the existing party. No prior D&D or character creation experience is required. I'll guide you through the entire process so you arrive at your first session fully prepared and ready to jump into the adventure.aracter sheet, ensuring everyone is built correctly for the adventure and fully integrated with our virtual tabletop. During Session 0, we'll also create your character token, import everything into Foundry VTT, and make sure you're ready to jump into the game. Characters begin at the adventure's starting level, and all official 2024 D&D 5e content available on D&D Beyond is welcome unless otherwise discussed. Ability scores are generated using the campaign's standard method during Session 0, and we'll review backgrounds, equipment, spells, and character connections together so everyone begins with a character that fits both the story and the party. No prior character creation experience is required—I’ll guide you through the entire process.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Before your Session 0, please complete the following steps so you're ready to jump into the adventure: • After booking your seat, you'll receive your personalized invite links for Discord, D&D Beyond, and Foundry VTT. • Join the D&D Beyond campaign using your invite link. • Install the Beyond20 browser extension (available for Chrome, Edge, and Firefox) to connect your D&D Beyond character sheet directly to Foundry. • Create a free Forge/Foundry VTT account and accept the campaign invitation to access maps, handouts, combat, music, and immersive gameplay. • Join our Discord server, where we'll use voice chat for every session and where you'll find announcements, scheduling, and campaign resources. • Make sure you have a working microphone (a webcam is optional but always welcome). • Attend Session 0, where we'll create your character, finalize your token, review the campaign, answer questions, and ensure everyone is ready before the adventure begins. No prior experience with D&D Beyond or Foundry is required. I'll guide you through the entire setup process, and all of the custom invitation links you'll need will be provided after you join the adventure.

What Errol brings to the table

I strive to create a cinematic, immersive experience where your choices genuinely shape the story. Expect distinct NPC voices, ambient music, sound effects, detailed maps, handouts, and dynamic lighting through Foundry VTT to bring the world to life. Investigation, exploration, roleplay, and combat all receive equal attention, ensuring every character has opportunities to shine.

Homebrew rules

I keep homebrew rules to a minimum so the game remains easy to learn and consistent with the 2024 D&D 5e rules. My primary house rules include: Potions: Drinking a healing potion yourself is a bonus action. Administering one to another creature remains an action. Critical Hits: Critical hits deal maximum damage on one damage die, then roll the remaining dice, making critical hits feel impactful without becoming overly swingy. Rule of Cool: Creative, cinematic ideas are encouraged. If an action is exciting, fits the story, and doesn't overshadow the game, I'm happy to reward inventive thinking. Table Respect: Rules discussions are welcome, but to keep the game moving I'll make a ruling during the session and, if needed, we'll review it together afterward. Other than these small adjustments, I run the game as close to the official 2024 D&D 5e Rules as Written as possible.

How Errol creates a safe table

Creating a welcoming, respectful, and enjoyable table is one of my highest priorities. During Session 0, we'll discuss the tone of the adventure, expectations for player conduct, character creation, party dynamics, and any topics players would prefer to avoid. My goal is to ensure everyone feels comfortable before the adventure begins.
