About the adventure
This game is designed for both Kids on Bikes veterans, and novices alike! I run a very group, and table centered game, with the comfort, inclusion and enjoyment of all my players always at the forefront of my mind! This game system is very narrative and role-play heavy, with little traditional TTRPG style combat, and plenty of opportunities for nearly-open world exploration by the players at the table. I use the Kids on Bikes system, with some minor home-brews, but the Kids on Bikes Core Rule Book is always my starting point, and where I generally will concede when disagreements arise. Like any game, I always try to find the fun, even in darker, heavier, or scarier situations, and always prefer when my players turn up the humor, excitement, or drama. The more engaged the table is, the more creative we all can be!

About me
Hey! I’m just a queer role player in their mid-twenties, trying to find more people like me to play together! I’ve been playing DnD for about three years, but I still consider myself fairly new to it. But get me a Kids on Bikes campaign, and I’m all in! I’ve GMed four KOB campaigns with my friends, but I want to get out into the world and meet new friends, and players to live in our fantasy worlds with! My favourite way to lead a game is to give my players the world, and let them do with it and in it what the party feels like is best, and I build the story, the plot and the adventure around them! If we don’t agree about something, we’ll leave it to the dice. My game style leans heavily on Roleplay, and you can expect me to default to a 70/30 split, but I am open to any style that my party wants to play! I can’t wait to meet you! ☺️

Creating your character
I will work with each individual player in the game discord on creating characters well suited for the game, this will be done in what I call session -1. For any questions, you may ask me, or refer to the Kids on Bikes core rule book. Fillable character sheets will be provided in the game discord.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
If you do not already have accounts on Discord and Owlbear Rodeo, you will need to set up accounts, so that you can join the game discord server, and the virtual table top. The links will be provided to everyone directly.
What Brasha brings to the table
I am always happy to suit my style of play to the table, but my default style of play is open world, character driven, player first story telling. I will occasionally use ambient music, often employ character voices, especially when differentiating between two NPCs that are both talking to the party at the same time. Rule of Cool is always my favorite. If you have an idea that goes against the rules as written but is super awesome, I'm always willing to discuss it!
Homebrew rules
The biggest home-brew of this system that I employ is the perpetual explosion of die. When you role the highest number on the die, and explode you roll again. Unlike in core roles, which caps explosions at what is needed to succeed, I believe that explosions continue until you don't explode anymore. So, if you roll 5 20's and a 6 on a dc 10 check, congratulations, you just rolled a 106 on a dc 10; but be careful what you wish for...

How Brasha creates a safe table
I send the Greens, Yellows, and Reds document to each player confidentially. Anything anyone puts as yellow or red is automatically yellow or red for the group at large. I will compile a group sheet, so no one has to feel pressured to say they agree to something they do not. During a session, if any player feels uncomfortable at any point, they can call out "Real Talk," which immediately stops game play, and triggers a discussion of how to best address the issue. "Real Talk" can be called outlaid, in chat functions, or to me privately, with zero judgement from anyone tolerated. At the end of each session, we will take 5-10 minutes to discuss what happened, what everyone liked, if anyone has changes they'd like to see, or anything they feel is no longer comfortable for them. Players may leave the campaign temporarily or permanently at any time if they feel they need a break for personal, comfort, or private reasons, and may return whenever they feel ready, safe and comfortable doing so!
