About the adventure
After the death of "Mad" King Henry, the human-populated Eplon is in an uproar upon learning that the childless King Henry named his half-elf niece Beatrice as the heir to his throne. Little is known amongst the Eplonian nobility about the young lady, as she was born and raised in the neighboring country of Aethalon after her father (Henry's brother) was married off to strengthen political ties with the elves. Though having grown up alongside her cousins (set to inherit the Aethalon crown), Beatrice is known amongst the Aethalon nobility as being a bit of a wild child with eccentric ideas that challenge the existing order. As part of the preparation to get Beatrice ready for her new role as queen, both Eplon and Aethalon have decided a meet-and-great tour might be the best way for the queen-to-be to adjust to her new role and earn favor with her new subjects. You are part of the team that has been assembled to escort Beatrice from The Clockwork Castle of Aethalon to The Ivory Palace of Eplon. Whether protecting Beatrice from making a social faux pas or from being assassinated by one of the many political enemies she already seems to have, you must get the queen through her procession and to her coronation safely.

Meet the Game Master
About me
I am a professional VO actor who got into ttrpgs in 2020 and has been GMing since 2022. I have over 30 years of performance training, including UCB improv, so I am great at handling any curveballs players might throw. Other careers I’ve had including singing, writing, editing, and directing—all of which I try to incorporate into my sessions. I love the “rule of cool” and have GMed for tables as big as 9 and as small as 1. I prefer to run original homebrew plots or third-party adventures. I am only interested in inclusive tables actually interested in working together. My tables are open to players of all races, genders, and/or sexual orientations.

Creating your character
I will run a free session 0 to discuss content warnings & lines and veils. In session 0, we will do character building through a D&D Beyond campaign link with audio/video over Discord. I will also use Beyond Maps for any combat.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
If you do not have a discord account, please set one up. I send out a Discord server to join. If you don't have an account on D&D Beyond, please create one. Both of these should be free to start out.
What Samantha brings to the table
As a professional voice over actor with UCB training, I do excellent character voices and am very good with improvising with the chaos the players come up with. I embrace Rule of Cool, and strongly encourage role play at the table.
Homebrew rules
Drinking a potion counts as a bonus action & The Lando Calrissian: Any player may, at any point, go "I know a guy" and proceed to describe how their character might know of an NPC who could potentially help them in any given situation, so long as it fits with their existing backstory. However, since the player is making the DM create an NPC on the spot, the DM will roll a d100 to see just how well the player actually "knows" this NPC, which will determine how helpful the NPC will be for the given situation.
