About the adventure

You've been invited to the mysterious Tabbycat Tavern via a secret message: Come to the Tipsy Tabbycat and ask for Tabitha. A small test of skills may be required for membership approval.... come prepared! Benefits and payroll will be discussed with approved candidates. You have found your way to a place filled with mystery, adventure, and rewards! (with a bit of danger and possible death but really you shouldn't worry about it, it almost never happens. Just don't ask why there are sudden openings....) Go through the Candlekeep Mysteries in a new way! Players will go through the reimagined classic adventures with an overarching storyline that they will slowly uncover as their own backstories are incorporated as well.

About me

Hello and well met! My DND journey began several decades (cough cough) ago when a high school friend asked if I wanted to try out this new game that was a combination of puzzle solving, world building, improv, and shiny dice. It was dice goblin love at first sight and while college/grad school/life made it harder to play on a regular basis, I was always happy when I had a chance to sit at a table and roll math rocks. Fast forward to post-COVID and a friend recommended the Dungeon Crawler Carl book series to me. I flew through them and remembered how much fun TTRPs can be. I got a DND starter kit and taught my kids how to play, found CRs Campaign 2 and fell back in love with DND. Realizing the availability of online games I started joining some one shots and eventually an ongoing campaign...Which grew to DMing for friend groups IRL and eventually leading campaigns at my local game store and through discord. I love the sense of collaborative storytelling and the excitement of bringing together a group of people from all over to create an adventure that will never be repeated again. I pride myself on making sure all feel welcome and comfortable at my table so their love of DND continues to grow. I look forward to adventuring with you!

What to expect

Preparing for the session

You'll need accounts for Discord and DND Beyond. In between session RP opportunities are hosted in the Discord server along with notes from the sessions. Character creation and maps will be from DND Beyond. If you're new to either or both, no worries! Always happy to help.

What DM Doyles brings to the table

Storyline: The Candlekeep Mysteries reimagined with your character's backstory intertwined. While each session will have its own "case" to solve, there will also be an overarching mystery to unravel. DM Vibes: Newbie friendly and happy to help! I see DND as a collaborative story, it's not DM-against-players. I want you to succeed and feel like a badass doing it! I love using voices for NPCs, but by no means expect you to be a voice actor. My number one priority is for you to love the session and leave excited for the next one.
