About the adventure

The deck rumbles beneath your feet, and for the first time you hear the howl of wind shear as the autoshuttle breaches Hercynia’s thick atmosphere. Seen through a condensation-streaked porthole, the world below is an emerald smear, scarred by ragged tears of black and brown. Patches of gray cloud cover speak to the months-long rainstorms that plague the surface. Below, emerald Hercynia. Below, somewhere below, the mildewed halls of ancient Egregorian hives lie dormant. Waiting. Empty. Welcome to Hercynia, the location of LANCER's first narrative campaign. Hercynia is where it all began - the proving ground and birthplace of the mech, the spark that ignited the revolution that overturned the galactic order. It was here that humankind encountered alien life and exterminated it for good. With its history now long forgotten, the planet has seen a new focus as a colony project. Development on the emerald planet has been quiet and orderly so far, but when the characters receive a call for aid from the brand new colony, they may be getting more than they bargained for. About me

Hey there, my name is Andrew, I've been running games for over 10 years. I'm always looking for a new system to pick up or an obscure tabletop game to play. I specialize in sci-fi and dystopian settings with a sandbox style, but that doesn't mean I shy away from fantasy. There's a good chance that if you're interested in something I've got a rule set for it or a game to run it in. I'm looking forward to making new friends and weaving a narrative together that we all can enjoy.

Character creation

Creating your character

Character creation can either be handled during session 0 or If the player is familiar enough with how to make a character I trust them to do so on their own. I will happily provide any guidance needed and am open to any questions.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

All you need to do is have a Discord account and be ready to accept a foundry link that I'll send you

What Andrew brings to the table

I will be providing music battle maps and ambient noise I do like to do Rule of Cool during narrative beats but, during combat due to Lancer's nature, we like to stick with Rules as written

Homebrew rules

If you do not enjoy your pilot within the first three combat encounters you are free to change them out or move around their stats, no questions asked.

How Andrew creates a safe table

X cards will be provided on the Foundry server side as well as I'll maintain a list of your hard and soft limits. If anyone ever becomes uncomfortable we can either fade to black, shift scenes or take a break. This module does cover some heavy themes so keep that in mind before signing up.
