About the adventure
Have you always wanted to try Dungeons & Dragons but weren't sure where to begin? This one-shot is designed specifically for new players, so no previous experience is required! We'll learn the rules together as they come up naturally, allowing you to jump straight into the adventure without needing to study beforehand. Whether you've watched gameplay for years or have never rolled a d20, you'll have a welcoming place at the table. Your adventure begins in a quiet brewery with a simple problem: GIANT RATS IN THE CELLAR! Where did they come from? Can you unravel the mysteries beneath? What starts as an ordinary job soon leads into a forgotten dungeon filled with hidden secrets, dangerous monsters, clever puzzles, and long-lost treasure. Along the way, you'll experience the classic fantasy adventure that has introduced countless players to the magic of D&D. My goal is to create a relaxed, collaborative table where everyone feels comfortable asking questions, trying creative ideas, and discovering what makes tabletop roleplaying so much fun. Expect a balanced mix of roleplay, exploration, puzzle-solving, and tactical combat, with plenty of opportunities to think outside the box. By the end of the session, you'll have learned the fundamentals of D&D—and hopefully be excited for your next adventure!

About me
Hail and well met! I'm Cammi—a storyteller, writer, and nationally awarded public speaker. I've been playing Dungeons & Dragons since 2018 and have spent years running both published adventures and homebrew campaigns in the D&D 5e system. Whether I'm guiding heroes through epic battles, political intrigue, magical mysteries, or character-driven role play, my goal is always to create a welcoming table where every player gets a chance to shine. I believe that there is a unique style of storytelling that only TTRPGs can offer. When we immerse ourselves in a story, adopting the motivations, hopes, and fears of our characters, we learn something new about ourselves and the world around us. New to D&D? Creating your character
Make a level 1 character. No home brew material. Normal starting inventory only, no magic items. I will have premade character sheets as well if needed! We will be using D&D Beyond for character sheets. I have a master tier subscription on D&D Beyond, so when you join the game using my campaign link, you will have access to tons of source material to pull from for your character!
What to expect
Preparing for the session
This game will be run in the D&D 5e/5.5e system on D&D Beyond Maps and Discord. Before the game, I will invite you to a discord server, and within that server you'll get an invite link for the D&D Beyond group. Be sure to have a Discord and D&D Beyond account in advance.
What Cammi brings to the table
You can expect a video call over discord (camera optional, of course!) with background music to set the tone for the game. As a DM, I do my best to make every game immersive, so be ready for rich descriptions, fun accents, and choices that truly impact your character and the environment around you. My games are typically a mix of roleplay, combat, and puzzles.

How Cammi creates a safe table
At the beginning of the session, we will take a few minutes to set expectations and boundaries so that everyone has the best experience possible! We will utilize digital X, N, & O's (direct message me during games with these if needed). I usually implement a mid-game break for 10 minutes.
