About the adventure
Cyberpunk RED is the roleplaying game of the Dark Future. After four corporate wars and a tactical nuke strike Night City is rebuilding. In 2045 Booster Gangs and Nomads cross paths and conspiracies with Solos and Techies under the scarlet skies of the Time of the Red while Corpos look down from their glass towers and plot their next move. There are plenty of ways to make it in Night City, many of those paths a guided by Fixers, the ultimate connectors and deal makers that bridge the gap between legit biz, the Street and the Corpo aristocracy. Even though the radiation levels have cooled, times are still hard in Night City. Management Conglomerates squeeze their tenants for every EuroBuck they can for rent. Bribery is just another form of civic life. It is easier to find a braindance of someone eating a Michelin -Burijisuton Star meal than it is to find regular fresh food. Yeah the Time of the Red is tough. But a Fixer by the name of Easy Ed is going to make it a bit better for you Choomba. He just called you and a few of your associates for a quick job. Low risk, good pay and a boost to your Rep. What could possibly go wrong with a little delivery? Easy Money / Hard Luck is a beginner friendly one shot for Cyberpunk RED. Your characters will have to use their wits, luck and style to survive in Night City.

About me
I am a long time Storyteller and GM that loves collaborative storytelling and world building. I started with Palladiums Robotech RPG back in the 1980s but soon fell in love with Cyberpunk 2020 and Mage: The Ascension. I am interested in independent and niche games like 10 Candles and Wanderhome. My playstyle can be described as grounded games with a rich, lived in feel to the worlds that I make. I am very much pro-player! I will be your characters biggest cheerleader and always tailor my games so everyone has a chance to shine in their own unique ways. The Rule of Cool and I have been friends since the Myspace days. I use Theater of the Mind approaches and maps to help alleviate the cognitive load of combat and other situations. If there is a particular house rule or a major cannon change in my games I make sure the players know it upfront and that I have some kind of running log for any changes that we can all refer to. I am well versed in safety tools and make regular use of the X Card and Lines and Veils. I strive to have an inclusive table where everyone can be their best, bravest selves.

Creating your character
We can make characters together in session zero using the StreetRat rules, you may also use the Cyberpunk Red Companion (Cyberpunkred.com) to make a starting character using the template rules. If you have a starting character already please send it to me as soon as possible.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
We will be using Discord for voice and video (video is optional). FOr our VTT we will be using Owlbear Rodeo. There is no expectation for players to be experts in the rules of the game, or to have any knowledge of Cyberpunk Red at all. I do reccomend that if you don't have a copy of the full rulebook to either pick one up or download the free Cyberpunk Red Easy Mode book at https://www.drivethrurpg.com/en/product/409912/cyberpunk-red-easy-mode . The Roles that fit this game the most are: Nomad Solo Techie MedTech The Roles that might need a bit of work are Netrunner Rockerboy Media Fixer The Roles that will be hardest to bring in to this adventure are: Exec Lawmen
What Campbell K brings to the table
*Plays "The What I Bring" by Harmony* For this game I will be providing an inclusive, brave space where players can be comfortable bringing their whole selves to the game. I will also be bringing several decades of experience in brining new players in to the wonderful world of Mage the Ascension. I work closer to the "Rule of Cool" end of the spectrum than being a strictly "Rules as Written" Storyteller. I firmly believe that the rules are there to support the telling of the story that we will be making together. Conflict in the physical form of combat is always a possibility but it is possible to run the adventure without ever having to make an initiative roll. There are always multiple ways to solve any of the conflicts in the story. I use a blended style to my games that leans more towards "Theater of the Mind" but I do employ maps to help lessen the cognitive load and also "scene backdrops" to help set the tone of particular locations and events. I currently don't use ambient music as I know it can be a distraction to some people. ( I am working on finding a good bot that can let players mute the volume on their end). If you have a prefered picture (Preferably non AI generated) of your character send it to me before the start of the session and I will make an icon for you on the VTT.
