About the adventure

Curse of Strahd is a classic campaign for a reason: combat is dangerous, exploration is rewarding, and your decisions are life-or-death. Will Barovia beat you down? Or will you dare to defy the mists? ~~~~~~~~~ Play-by-post Explanation: Play-by-post games are designed to fit around your real life commitments. There isn't a set session time. Instead, you can jump in and post whenever it's convenient for you throughout the day. The "schedule" listed on StartPlaying simply marks when your weekly payment is processed. It isn't the schedule for the game itself. Play-by-post is perfect for players who enjoy immersive roleplay, collaborative storytelling, and might be a little too busy to commit to full weekly sessions.

About me
I grew up in a place where telling stories around the campfire was a way of life, and now I bring that same spirit of adventure to my D&D tables. I had my "D&D awakening" during the pandemic, after discovering actual play podcasts. When I saw how much fun people could have with TTRPGs, I got hooked! Since then, I've been obsessed with telling amazing stories with new friends, first as a player, and now as a GM. Creating your character
You can use point buy or standard array to build your character! We'll be playing 2024 rules, starting at level 3. We won't play the introductory module "Death House" designed to take you from level 1 to 3 in this campaign. If you're interested in that module, shoot me a message and I'd love to run it for you privately or with a group!
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Have a Discord account and either a free D&D Beyond or free Roll20 account. We'll have maps through Owlbear Rodeo, but I'll also include screenshots in a maps channel for easy access!
What Sooch brings to the table
I bring you all the threats and horrors of Barovia (within everyone's lines and veils)! I can share sourcebooks, I'll bring maps, and I'll provide at least one substantial post per 24 hours.
