About the adventure

It is said that all adventures start in a tavern, but you have been kidnapped by an unknown assailant and taken to an unknown location. All you can feel is the cold stone floor under your feet. You can hear others, but know nothing of their situation. You feel nothing of your armour or weapons, but know they must be here somewhere. Your goal: find your equipment and escape- hopefully with a like minded party. I like to run relaxed games, where fun and enjoyment is key. Rules are just guidelines, where if they don't fit, then they don't get used. I would like to use this as a prequel to a session 0, leading to a campaign for those new, or fairly new to the dnd world.

About me

I have survived 53 years on the sphere we call Earth. I drive coaches as a regular job and enjoy playing games of differing styles- mainly video games, and of course, with other humanoid rolling 3d shapes with numbers on, speaking of which, although I am relatively new to the dm-ing of D&D, I have been aware of the glorious entity since the 1980s. I am currently coming to the final story arc of my home game- been going for a couple of years now, but it is now I tell you that I have also run a couple of campaigns within the world of darkness-Vampire: The Masquerade 2e revised previous to starting dnd 5e. I am now showing my 2 sons the ropes of dm-ing, as they want to have a go.

Character creation

Creating your character

I will provide some pre-generated characters for use, then in session 0, players then can create their own wonderful individual characters.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

I would like players to have access to dnd beyond, and therefore the maps vtt.

What Tommy brings to the table

Rule of cool is embraced- who knows the fun you could have as long as you're brave enough to try. Rules are guidelines, combat can be quite frequent. Xp is used instead of feats- I feel most new players are comfortable with it. Accents would be used as needed.

Safety

How Tommy creates a safe table

I will keep a check in to see if everyone is OK, they need anything. After the session, I would ask for any feedback, no matter how hard it could be to take- how else does the gm grow? I would be willing to address any issues as they arise.
