About the adventure
This game will be focusing on the module Crooked Moon. The module runs characters from level 1 to 6, but if the players are interested in a longer adventure we can run longer. The characters will end their adventure at level 13 if we do so. I will be tweaking the adventure so its more beginner friendly and so that those whom have played the module have a fresh experience. I will be trying to add character backstories into the campaign to make the game more personalized.

About me
I'm a twitch streamer vtuber that goes by Beyond_the_Table. I stream Dungeons and Dragons campaigns and One Shots. I'm also a Fantasy Writer. I've been running d&d 5e games for close to a decade. My introduction to d&d was critical role back in 2016. I hyperfixated on D&D and dove headfirst into learning the rules and what things players like to explore in ttrpgs. That was almost a decade ago, and the hyperfixation never stopped. I love D&D and it brings me unlimited joy to craft an engaging world for the players of my games.

Creating your character
The story will be taking place in Forgotten Realms. No homebrew classes or races. Once you join the discord, I will send you a campaign link and you'll have access to all of my content. If there's specific classes or content I don't have, we can discuss me purchasing it for the game.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
My players are required to have discord and dndbeyond. They will be invited to my discord server and will meet a large group of ttrpg fans. Its a very welcoming community.
What Anders brings to the table
First and foremost. I am a D&D streamer. I hope to stream these games on Twitch. I don't communicate with chat, so it'll feel like a regular session, but I've come to realize my players enjoy messaging chat when the spot light isn't on them. I will be using voices for npcs and villains and I will be utilizing a discord bot called SonCraft for ambient music. I have a subscription to Inkarnate and will be using it occasionally for homemade battle maps for more intense combat. I have a master subscription to dndbeyond and will be making my abundant catalog of books at the players disposal and will be using the virtual table top on dndbeyond. My games are very immersive and entertaining, so I warn you; I've been told by alot of people that after playing at my table, other games come up short.
Homebrew rules
I have a few homebrew rules. 1. Drinking a health potion can be a bonus action. If you use an action to drink one, you gain max healing from the potion. 2. Revivify and other magic that brings characters back to life aren't guaranteed. Theres a ritual to bringing back a fallen adventurer. Each character can think of a way to coax the soul back to the body. Each attempt will be followed by an ability check and a success will lower the DC for raising the character from the dead. (Keep in mind, your characters aren't invincible. Always have a back up character in case your character dies.) 3. Each player starts with an Epic Point. This Epic Point can be used in a dire moment or a story beat that is important to the character. Each use will be different and will be very cinematic. Using an Epic point has drawbacks however. You automatically accrue three exhaustion points. So use them wisely.

How Anders creates a safe table
During session 0 we will have an in depth conversation about topics to avoid. If the session gets emotional or topics get heavy, we will discuss it afterwards is a safe and respectful manner. My games run long so around the two hour mark, there will be a 10 minute break. After each session, if the players wish to mention what went well and what they wish to explore in the future, it will help me cater the game to the players. I will also be available to talk between sessions if any of my players wish to pick my brain about topics.
