About the adventure
The world of Cuddles and Chaos is massive - but most stories begin in Cozy Cove! In this adventure, we will work with character backstories and goals to go on a small adventure within the world, tailoring the game to the kind of story the player wants to tell. This is a core part of how I run my longer term games but I know not everyone has the time for a long running campaign, or heck, maybe you aren't sure if you like the world of Cozy D&D, or me as a GM - but a one shot can be limiting to determine if a table is a good vibe. Let's test it out, without the pressure of a long lasting campaign - come explore and enjoy a small section of the world, driven by the choices the group makes with their characters and stories. Classic homebrew style D&D, with all the added advantage of a world other adventurers already play in - so things are fleshed out enough to enjoy, with the added benefit of a cozy little table that safeguards player safety and fun over everything else. So, if you have a character you want to play, and want to check out a fun, collaborative, character driven, cozy D&D game - join the table! About me
Hello! I love D&D (and other assorted TTRPGs) - and I love to build worlds. I believe in the simple fact that this is a game, and we are meant to have fun - my first goal is always ensuring we are all having fun. In the last couple of years I have realized TTRPGs are more fun when I run the games I enjoy, and now, I am glad to say I am open for GMing for strangers (who will soon become friends!) on the internet who enjoy similar game play style and games. For game play style - I believe in collaborative, enjoyable storytelling with compatible personalities. "Rule of Cool" with roleplay and whimsy is my style. I'm autistic, if I don't know a rule, I DO know how to look it up, or get clarification on it, but I also know how to have fun and wing it in a way that makes us all have fun. I am not a great DM for RAW lawyer Murder-Hobos, nor do I pretend to be - but if cozy, whimsical, fun and sometimes chaotic gameplay sounds fun? Then let's play some freaking TTRPGs! Games are played in Discord and Owlbear Rodeo with custom maps and tokens made from character art.

Creating your character
More important than how to roll a character is to consider who your character is – think about your backstory, the story you want to tell with this character, along with some short, mid, & long term goals your character has. How to roll a character (once you have thought about who they are): Points Buy System: Everything starts at 8 points, & you get 27 points to then distribute & make your scores higher – the points scale with 1 point per level until 13. Then its 2 points per increase, max 15 before racial bonuses. We will finalize character sheets during session zero/onboarding. Please see point conversion below for assistance. Score | Cost 8 | 0 9 | 1 10 | 2 11 | 3 12 | 4 13 | 5 14 | 7 15 | 9 I am also available for one on ones prior to session 0, schedule permitting, for help - and can normally answer questions pretty quickly if messaged so - you'll have help if needed. :-)
What to expect
Preparing for the session
I will send a Discord link via the SPG Game messages, please feel free to join so I can get you added to the group/table. This is a great place to hang out and chat about any questions you may have, or just look at cute pet pictures. Lots of great new player resources, helpful people & a helpful FAQ too! Prior to our session zero please let me know your name, pronouns, & complete the safety form I send you. My goal is a fun time - this includes a safe space for us to have fun. I will do a quick crash course for Owlbear Rodeo, but no account is needed ahead of time, and it's really easy if you are unfamiliar with it or other Virtual Tabletops. I do ask you please check your tech set up prior to game time - should you need help myself or an admin are more than willing to help, just ping us! Also, if you have any questions for character creation or story, reach out! This is a game for people who love and have passion for the game and story we are all getting to share.
What Abbi-Gm brings to the table
Custom maps with easter eggs, goofy voices, puppets, creative writing and massive world - adventures customized to your backstory and character choices, I also bring an unbridled enthusiasm for the game, and a big "yes and" attitude. Rule of Cool, but with plenty of options for the dice goblins amongst you!
Homebrew rules
Rule of Cool will prevail – but you need to roleplay it for me to believe it’s cool. When in doubt, we roll it out. Nat 20 on initiative chooses where they go in the order, after all rolls are revealed. We decide as a group how to handle Critical Hits during session 0. Disadvantage on ranged attack does not apply to magic attacks unless the space needed to cast it is somehow impeded. Drinking a potion is a bonus action - you may use your action for full potion healing. Milestone Leveling I am open to house rules past these, with full table consent.

How Abbi-Gm creates a safe table
I will send out a safety sheet, which needs to be completed prior to session 0. During session 0 we will go over some in game safety tools to use, including X for stop, Y for yellow/fade and G for good to go, which can be done in any method - as well as breaks, open door, after care (as needed), etc. I am always open to more safety tools - my tables are a cozy, safe space and are always aggressively LGBT+ and Neurodivergent.
