About the adventure
💥 This game is intended for 2 to 5 beginner players. 💥You: A beginner player of Dungeons and Dragons 5e (2024) who wants to roll some dice! 💥Me: A veteran Dungeon Master who runs games with this philosophy: "What would be the most fun?" I run a lot of games for players of all experience levels and ages and have a ton of experience easing new players into the game in a fun and engaging way! Game Set Up: You stand beneath a restless sky at the edge of the Borderlands, where legends are born and fools are buried. To the north, the Caves of Chaos gape wide - torchlight glimmers on ancient stone as unseen monsters snarl in the dark. To the west, the Keep on the Borderlands rises proud, its banners snapping above a bustling crossroads of merchants, mercenaries, and mystics. Between them lie the Woods, where moonlit glades whisper with fey laughter and ancient oaks brood over occult secrets. Southward stretch the wilds: the Fens, a buzzing fetid mire teeming with danger, and the Tamarack Stand, a forest of towering conifers crawling with creatures and witchcraft. Eastward, old roads crumble into haunted hills where ghosts of forgotten wars still linger. Gold glitters in hidden vaults. Magic hums beneath your boots. The line between order and chaos trembles with every heartbeat. The call to adventure thunders across the wild frontier. What do you do?

Welcome, adventurers! I’m PalindromeRPG, aka Paul Savas, a seasoned Game Master with a passion for storytelling, creativity, and fun! With nearly 30 years as a professional theatre practitioner (although have recently hung up my last costume) and a lifetime of Dungeons and Dragons experience. I’ve been GMing since 2018 and GMed my first session on SPG on January 4th, 2025. My games are all about fun and engaging adventures. How PalindromeRPG creates a safe table
When enough players sign up for the campaign to begin, I send out a Lines and Veils document and then we have a Session Zero. Session Zero lasts about as long as a regular session two and a half to three hours. It's our first chance to set expectations, build trust, and make sure we’re all here to have a great time. I start start with making sure all tech connections are good, but then we have an open conversation about everyone’s experience with D&D and what you can expect during our time together. We’ll also go over the safety tools we’ll be using to keep the game fun and respectful for everyone. Then we'll build the party. In the second half, we’ll shift gears to character creation and party dynamics. I will guide the group through an easy and fun character and party creation process. Then we'll start playing!
