About the adventure

Pathfinder 2e can feel intimidating at first glance, but this game is designed to make learning the system approachable, collaborative, and exciting without sacrificing depth or adventure. Whether you’re completely new to Pathfinder, returning after time away, or an experienced player looking for a fresh group, you’ll journey into the dangerous frontier surrounding the seaside town of Otari where strange creatures, forgotten ruins, and lurking threats wait beneath the surface. Expect a balance of roleplay, tactical combat, exploration, mystery, and cinematic storytelling with a table that welcomes questions, experimentation, and character-driven play. This campaign is run using Talespire, creating an immersive 3D tabletop experience with atmospheric maps, dynamic environments, and visual storytelling that brings the world to life in a way traditional virtual tabletops often can’t. Players will need their own copy of Talespire to participate. My GM style focuses on collaborative storytelling, strong onboarding for new players, tactical encounters that teach the system naturally over time, and a warm, inclusive table culture where everyone gets opportunities to shine. We’ll begin with the acclaimed Pathfinder Beginner Box adventure, with the option to continue into larger adventures in and around Otari afterward if the group clicks and wants to keep exploring together.

About me

Hi, I’m Eryn—a professional Game Master with 15+ years of experience crafting immersive, character-driven RPGs. I run story-rich campaigns where your choices matter, your character grows, and the table feels like a space you actually want to come back to each week. My games are beginner-friendly, emotionally engaging, and built to last—no chaos, no ghosting, just a reliable group telling a great story together. I specialize in creating welcoming, queer- and femme-friendly tables where allies are absolutely welcome. You can expect a balance of strong narrative, clear mechanics, and supportive guidance—whether you’re brand new or a seasoned player looking for something more meaningful than a typical drop-in game. If you’re looking for a consistent campaign, a respectful table, and a GM who’s invested in your experience, you’re in the right place.

Character creation

Creating your character

Character creation is beginner-friendly, collaborative, and fully supported! Pathfinder 2e quite a few moving parts, so we’ll approach character creation together as a team rather than expecting everyone to arrive as system experts. Players are encouraged to begin exploring ideas and building characters ahead of time using Demiplane, but we’ll still dedicate part (or all) of Session 1 to character creation, rules guidance, party coordination, and making sure everyone feels confident with their character sheet before the adventure begins. If everyone finishes early, great — we’ll jump right into the adventure. If not, no stress! I’d much rather players feel comfortable and excited about their character than rushed through the process. Character Details: Starting Level: 1 Stats: Standard Array or Point Buy Platform: Demiplane for character sheets/reference materials Allowed Content: Official Pathfinder 2e remastered material appropriate for the campaign I strongly encourage players to bring character concepts, personality ideas, goals, or vibes they’d like to play, even if the mechanics aren’t fully figured out yet. Pathfinder characters are built collaboratively at this table, and we’ll work together to ensure the party feels mechanically solid while still giving everyone room to shine creatively. Pre-generated characters can also be provided for anyone who wants to jump in more quickly or ease into the system before diving into deeper customization. 🚫 Note on Homebrew & Mythic Content: To keep the game balanced, approachable, and easier to learn together, unofficial/homebrew content and Mythic rules options will not be used for this campaign.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

To help us hit the ground running and keep session time focused on play, please complete the following before the game: You’ll need accounts on: -Discord (free) -Demiplane (free) -Talespire (paid) Once created, please: -Join the Discord server (invite provided after booking) -Join the Demiplane campaign/resources -Ensure Talespire is installed and functioning before Session 1 Talespire requires each player to own a copy of the program through Steam. However, if players are gaming together in the same physical location — one copy can manage multiple minis within the same session. One of the fun parts of Talespire is customizing your character visually, including: imported Hero Forge minis, etc I strongly encourage players to spend a little time exploring Talespire before the game begins. Learning camera controls, movement, dice rolling, and general navigation ahead of time makes Session 1 much smoother for everyone. Some setup and onboarding may still take place during our first session depending on player familiarity. Tech Setup -A working microphone is required for play -Please test your audio setup before the first session We’ll be focusing on storytelling, exploration, and tactical gameplay, so making sure your tech works ahead of time helps us avoid delays and respect everyone’s session time. Table Expectations & Safety Before the game, please take a moment to review the safety tools provided in the Discord server. These tools help maintain a respectful, collaborative, and comfortable table for everyone. Safety and communication are shared responsibilities, and questions are always welcome. Player Setup -Find a quiet space where you can be heard clearly -Reduce distractions where possible -Have water, snacks, or other comforts nearby Make yourself comfortable — you’ll be here for a few hours of focused adventure. A notebook or digital notes app can be very helpful for tracking NPCs, clues, treasure, and story details The goal is simple: come prepared, get comfortable, and we’ll jump straight into adventure together!

What Eryn brings to the table

I run immersive, story-driven games where the players and their characters are always at the center of the experience. With over 15 years of Game Mastering experience, I focus on creating worlds that feel alive, responsive, and shaped by your choices, never scripted around a “GM protagonist.” Your story belongs to you and your party. Above all else, I prioritize a safe, inclusive, and welcoming table. Players of all backgrounds are encouraged to show up as themselves and enjoy a space where respect and collaboration are the foundation of play. I blend narrative storytelling with a strong understanding of game mechanics. I enjoy rules-light moments when it benefits pacing, and more tactical, “crunchy” combat when the table is ready for it. Early sessions are more guided and supportive, and as the group becomes more comfortable, we naturally evolve toward deeper mechanics and higher challenge. I may occasionally streamline or temporarily simplify mechanics when it improves flow or keeps focus on storytelling and fun. If something makes narrative sense, I will usually look for a way to make it work within the system rather than blocking creativity. I enjoy tactical, meaningful combat where positioning, decisions, and teamwork matter. However, I also value pacing and clarity—especially for newer players—so combat will always be explained clearly and adjusted to the group’s comfort level. I follow a “Rules as Written as a foundation, Rule of Cool when appropriate” approach. Creativity is encouraged, but balance and fairness are always maintained so that no single player or ability overshadows the table. Games may include: -Character voices (light to moderate, depending on tone) -Thematic ambient music and curated playlists -Occasional sound effects to enhance key moments -Theatre of the mind or virtual battlemaps depending on scene needs I use tools and presentation style based on what best supports clarity and immersion—not for spectacle, but to help the story feel real and engaging. I am very comfortable teaching new players and will actively support understanding of: -Turn order and combat flow -Character abilities and mechanics -Game pacing and decision-making My games are built on a simple balance: -Player agency matters -Choices have consequences -Risk should feel meaningful -Your time at the table should always feel worthwhile

Safety

How Eryn creates a safe table

Safety is the most important part of my table. My goal is always to make sure everyone leaves the table feeling comfortable, respected, and glad they showed up. If people don’t feel safe, we don’t get to have fun collaborative storytelling—and that’s the entire point of playing together. My goal is to create a space where players can relax, engage, and explore the game without worry. Safety tools are not scary or disruptive. They are normal, expected parts of play, and can be used at any time—both in-character and out-of-character. They can also extend beyond the session if something comes up later and you need to check in. At the start of each session, we do a quick check-in. This is a simple pulse check to see how everyone is doing. You’re welcome to share anything that affects your play, such as: -Feeling tired or low-energy -Having a stressful day -Wanting to avoid specific themes that day This helps us adjust the game so everyone can enjoy it. I use multiple safety tools depending on the group, including: -Lines and Veils (allowed content, established before play) -Open Door Policy (you can step away anytime, no explanation needed) -X, N, & O signals (used digitally or spoken at the table depending on setup) These tools can be used at any time without needing justification. All sessions include a mid-session break (10–15 minutes) for: -Stretching -Hydration -Bio breaks -Resetting focus Aftercare is handled naturally at the end of sessions with a brief check-in and decompression space. If anything felt intense or emotionally impactful, we can talk it through or follow up privately after the game.
