About the adventure
This is a game for those who still to this day love Digimon or are curious to explore the digital world. Those who are ready to dive into the world of the Digimon alongside their friends and their digital companions. This game is for those with at least some experience in the 5e system as we won’t be playing the normal classes and you will have to manage both yourself and you Digimon partner in battle. But you do not need knowledge of Digimon to play within this game. If I can get more people into a franchise I love with this game that would be a dream come true. The campaign will be more inspired by the original Digimon adventure anime then the modern-day anime with exploration, new Digimon friends and enemies with every new place you discover, a sense of mystery and puzzles to find your way through the digital world. And of course, trial of bravery, friendship, reliability and all sorts to discover the true power of your Digimon partners. This game will be fully child friendly. I intend to explore some darker themes and darker plotlines unlike, but I would not consider the game 18+. It will have some more serious and adult themes then the original show such as death, explicit violence and such. But everything can be discussed and I can steer away from things people would prefer not to engage with. You characters and Digimon partners will be a collaborative effort between yourself and I. we will find a rookie Digimon that you like and feel fits with your character, and then depending on both your characters arc and how you treat you Digimon I will determine how the evolves in secret and you can discover in game. Or we can talk though a whole digivolution line if you would prefer to know.

About me
I am a 21 year old university student in my last year of uni studying musical theatre. I have loved playing dnd and have been playing since I was a kid, starting from secondary school at the age of 15 and would love nothing more than to make it my full time job. I want to try and create worlds and stories that people can enjoy and marvel at not only with my imagination but also my players to form worlds and stories in every possible way. I have played games of primarily dnd but I have also played in games of other systems such as Kids on brooms, the avatar the last air-bender TTRPG (which is a powered by the apocalypse game) and several others in one shots and short campaigns. I have GMed many games over my time, playing these games both in person and online. I have had long term games lasting over several months up to over a year long and shorter games ranging from 1 session to 4 or 5 in various worlds and settings, both of my own creation and adapting other worlds. I by no means think I'm a perfect GM, in fact I know I have along way to go but I would genuinely love to nothing more than to gain more experience and learn how to better my abilities as a GM.

Creating your character
Characters will be created in both a session 0 and a 1 on 1 session 0.5. The session 0 will be to establish stats and character sheets. We will be using a PDF i have access to make your digi-destined characters. So you will not be using the normal dnd classes even though it does take place within the 5E system. However i am more then willing to discuss using the normal dnd classes. Everything is adoptable to fit your character and we can make changes to make thing better fitting for you. You will also of course have a Digimon partner. These can be chosen by you or i can pick one based off of what you preferences are. If you are new to Digimon i can help you find something for you. They will be created in roll20 but you can also keep everything in you own personal format such as physical paper or pdf.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
For preparation all you need us discord and roll20. As well as think of you character's journey and potentially your Digimon's character arc as well. then once you have joined the game i will send you the discord and roll20 links over dms (to avoid the link timing out)
What Howler brings to the table
I will provide an engaging mix of compelling story and roleplay as well as fun and balanced combat. I use ambient music and character voices to bring the world to life as best as I can. I work within the rules but also understand that sometimes a rule can get in the way of the moment so allow for rule of cool when the moment deserves it. I will be the best Dm that i can possibly be but the story isn't just my responsibility. this is a world that will be created by all of us and i expect you all will have a hand in creating and moulding it to form the stories we will tell together. I love to see players interact not only with the world but also each other forming bonds and enemies as the story progresses. This is not just a game but also a way to build friendships and bonds that can last for years and i hope you are willing to take the time and enjoy this incredible experience with me.

How Howler creates a safe table
for safety i will be starting session 0 off with a content warning and consent sheets to get a list of everyone's limits as well as any changes ill need to make to the story as i want to create a story that everyone feels safe in not just what i think is "cool" or "funny". i will also have stars and wishes as the end of every session. as well and colour cards in place. (green means all good, yellow means pause to talk, red means full stop) these cards will be in place at all times and can be used either with a simply message in chat or a verbal calling of the colour.
