About the adventure

You awake in the comfort of your own bed. You tumble off the mattress and rub your groggy eyes. Stumble down to the kitchen and pour yourself a large cup of ambition. Yawning and stretching, you try to come to life. Before you can jump in the shower and feel the blood start pumping, you see it. There on the doormat, a thick parchment envelope. Picking it up, you read your name and address and turn it over. A wax seal appears to show a purple flower overlaying a golden star. Wait! It can't be.... Ripping it open, the first sentence brings the warmth of tears to your eyes "We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted to Strixhaven University" This is a campaign where you will play a student of Strixhaven university. We will begin on Orientation Day to help you get acquainted with your new campus, and of course, your new dorm room. You will attend classes, you will engage with your fellow students, even get a job. It's giving #posivibes, that is until some strange occurrences begin to throw the Curriculum into Chaos The five colleges of Strixhaven 🔥 Prismari - Art with explosions. Elemental performers who paint with fire, ice, and raw emotion. Big magic, big drama, big vibes. 📜 Lorehold - History that won’t stay dead. Archaeomancers who dig up relics, secrets, and the occasional argumentative ghost. ✒️ Silverquill- Words sharper than swords. Radiant brilliance meets inky shadow. Charisma, confidence, and cutting comebacks encouraged. 🌿 Witherbloom- Life, death, and everything deliciously swampy. Goth druids, cheerful biologists, and potion‑brewers who harness the full cycle of nature. 🔢 Quandrix- Math that breaks reality. Fractals, equations, probability magic. Logic‑benders who reshape the world with patterns.

About me

I’ve been DMing Dungeons & Dragons for nearly five years, but the fascination started much earlier. When I was about ten, I discovered my dad’s old AD&D books tucked away in my nan’s loft. The artwork, the strange creatures, the promise of whole worlds inside a rulebook—it stuck with me. In 2021 I finally joined an online group and quickly found myself behind the screen as the Dungeon Master. Since then, creating adventures and watching players shape the story has become one of my favourite things to do. For me, D&D is collaborative storytelling at its best: I build the world, you decide what to do in it, and together we discover what happens next. I genuinely love having to rip up my notes mid session as everything goes.....different Outside the game I work helping people find employment and new opportunities and a history in Learning and Development, with global awards a testament to my ability of fostering inclusive environments. At my table you can expect: • A welcoming and inclusive table where new and experienced players alike can enjoy the game • Player-driven storytelling where your choices genuinely shape the world • Immersive worldbuilding filled with memorable NPCs, mysteries, and consequences • A balance of roleplay, exploration, and combat depending on what the group enjoys most Away from the screen I’m a happily married father to one human child and three very demanding furry ones. Fantasy has always been a huge part of my life, from books and films to music and, of course, D&D. There’s something magical about stepping into another world for a few hours and telling a story together. If you’re looking for a game where your character matters, your choices have weight, and the goal is simply to have a great adventure together, you’ll fit right in.

Character creation

Creating your character

You will be using point buy for stats and I will happily allow any race from the Wizards of the Coast(WotC) published works. Third party content I am happy to discuss but will likely stick to the WotC races. You will start at level 1. In real life when you applied for college or university you would have had some idea as to why you applied there and what you wanted to do, the same is true for your characters. Your backstory needs to cover this as a bare minimum. I am more than happy to work with you on the rest of a backstory. We will have a session 0 to discuss table rules and also figure out if any pre-connections exist between characters.
