About the adventure

You are hired by a researcher to retrieve an ancient and dangerous mystic artifact. Though there may be some complications along the way. Here I have combined a series of one-shots from the sourcebook One-Shot Wonders to form one mini campaign, with an epic climactic ending with details that can vary depending on the choices made throughout. Your character would level up after each session going from level 1 to 8.

About me

I am a fan of fantasy and sci-fi as well as a closet theatre kid. I got into TTRPGs a few years ago and more recently decided to try my hand at GMing. Since I am new, I am open to constructive feedback. I appreciate a balance of roleplay and exciting combat as well as a mixture of modules and homebrew. I use official rules as guidelines and expand or tweak as I feel necessary for the sake of narrative and/or overall fun.

Creating your character

**Rules:** -Standard Array or Point Buy - NO rolled stats -Fixed HP type -No more 2 points to one ability for initial bonuses (be it from species or background) -Any class from the Core Rules/PHB including Artificer, Blood Hunter and Monster Hunter. Grim Hallow and Crooked Moon subclasses are restricted (with the exception of the Monster Hunters'), all other subclasses allowed. -Any species, class, subclass, spell and feat that received an update in the 2024 sourcebooks (for example; dwarf ranger gloom stalker), you must use the new version. (Speedy will be considered the updated version of Mobile) -You MAY still use other pre-2024 material [For example; half-orc, blood hunter (any subclass) or goblin, cleric, tempest domain], provided they did not receive a 2024 update -Excluded species: Homebrew, Custom Lineage, any race from Spelljammers, Humblewood, Book of Ebon Tides, or Crooked Moon - all other species are fine. -May use any background, but if NOT using a background that grants an Origin feat (as specified in the PHB 2024), manually add an origin feat of your choice (everyone should have an origin feat at level 1). -Good and Neutral aligned characters *only* -Use starting equipment for your class and background. Gold and equipment can be exchanged for any other mundane item of equal value. -You may add 1 common magic item of your choice (as well as any item or gold value specified in the specific one-shot).

What Matt Pinto brings to the table

A fun and whimsically festive adventure Character voices Infectious energy Maps and character art Immersive music An inclusive welcoming atmosphere for all!

Homebrew rules

-Healing Potions can be drunk or administered to another creature as a bonus action according to the 2024 rules, but choosing to do so as an action instead will guarantee max possible healing from the potion. -When landing a critical hit, rather than roll the damage die twice, we will instead roll like normal and add the max damage for the die -Heroic Inspiration can be used to reroll 1 d20 roll, 1 damage die roll, or force 1 enemy to reroll 1 saving throw that you inflict on them. -If a creature near you is subjected to a DEX saving throw - As a reaction, you can move up to half your movement speed to position yourself within between that creature and the source of the damage (and within 5ft of said creature) effectively shielding them with your body - this will ensure they pass their DEX save but also ensure that you fail your own. -Creativity is encouraged, but be sure to be mindful and respectful of the other people at the table. -Multi-classing is allowed (provided stat score minimums are met without the use of magic items)
