About me
My name is Fabio, I'm originally from Germany and I now live in beautiful Sweden. I fell in love with D&D around 10 years ago when my brother introduced me to Critical Role. I started playing in 2022 and have been DMing since 2023. I have mostly been leading online one-shots and a long-term real-life campaign in my homebrew world. My goal is to make sure that everyone at the table feels seen and has a fun time together. It is especially important to me that everyone feels like they are in a safe space where they can be themselves and explore their characters. Trusting each other (for example, by being honest about what you rolled on your dice) is vital for a positive shared experience.

Creating your character
Characters will be created using the 2024 (5.5e) system on DnDBeyond. We will make characters together during session 0 using the "Standard Array" method for Ability Scores. This adventure starts you at level 3, and most anything goes from official content, preferred from the 2024 Players Hand Book
What to expect
Preparing for the session
What you need: - Discord (www.discord.com) - DnDBeyond (www.dndbeyond.com) - A Microphone - Keyboard & Mouse - Stable Internet connection - Time We will play on Owlbear Rodeo (www.owlbearrodeo.com) You will get an invite to my Discord Server where we will have a group chat for everyone involved in the game.
What Fabio brings to the table
During the game I provide music and ambience using KenkuFM. I enjoy giving non-player characters voices when roleplaying. During combat I like to give short descriptions of the actions taken. I enjoy Rule of Cool (doing something outside of the rules if it's creative or fun enough) but stick to the rules 95% of the time. A natural 20 is only an automatic success on attack roles, not saving throws or ability checks. I don't use critical fumbles.
Homebrew rules
> You can drink a potion of healing as a bonus action like normal, but if you use an action to drink the potion you will receive the maximum amount of healing. > On a critical hit you can choose either of these options after rolling the damage dice: > Double the amounts already rolled on all dice. > Roll another set of dice and add all rolled numbers together. This is to ensure more consistent critical hits.

How Fabio creates a safe table
During session 0 I make sure that we talk about and note down topics that someone might be uncomfortable with. A separate Discord channel for "Safety" is easily accessible for everyone. During the game, about half way in each session a 5-15 minute break will be taken. After the session there is space to talk about the session and anything that needs addressing. I also try to be available out of game.
