About the adventure
Across Eberron, powerful relics are resurfacing—and you’re not the only ones looking for them. From lightning rails racing across the continent to airships soaring above the clouds, you’ll travel through a world where magic fuels technology and danger hides behind every opportunity. Rival factions, dragonmarked houses, and shadowy forces are all in the hunt, and every decision you make could shift the balance of power. This campaign is built as an adventure-forward journey across Eberron, where each arc takes you somewhere new. You might be infiltrating the towers of Sharn one week, exploring ancient ruins in Xen’drik the next, or chasing leads across war-torn landscapes still recovering from the Last War. Expect a mix of exploration, light mystery, and high-stakes action, with plenty of chances to make meaningful choices that shape the story. This game is designed with new players in mind. You don’t need to know anything about Dungeons & Dragons or Eberron to jump in. I’ll guide you through the rules, help you build your character, and support you in learning how to roleplay at your own pace. There’s no pressure to “perform” or get things perfect—we’re here to figure it out together. My style is structured but flexible. I’ll bring clear direction, engaging scenarios, and a world that reacts to your choices, while giving you space to experiment, make mistakes, and have fun with your character. If you’re looking for a game with strong guidance, cinematic moments, and a balance of action and storytelling, you’ll feel right at home here.

About me
I’m a storyteller, educator, and TTRPG designer who brings structure, energy, and clarity to the table. With 15 years as a professional performer and 8+ years coaching and teaching, I know how to run a game with strong pacing, expressive NPCs, and clean, confident decision-making. I’ve GM’d a wide range of systems including D&D 5e, Obojima, Kids on Brooms, and several of my own homebrew settings like Shattered Constellation, Atlo Academy, and Hex at the High Mesa. I also run solo campaigns, which gives me a sharp understanding of mechanics, encounter flow, and narrative pressure. My GM style is direct, player-focused, and fail-forward. I keep the story moving, make rulings that are consistent and fair, and build encounters and mysteries that react to player choices. You don’t need to be an actor or rules expert to have a great time at my table — I create space for every type of player, from roleplay-heavy to tactical. If you want a game with clear stakes, memorable NPCs, grounded worldbuilding, and choices that matter, I’m your GM.

Creating your character
Character creation is simple and beginner-friendly. You can either create your character on your own before the game, or we can build it together during a short Session 0 if you’d like guidance. All characters will start at Level 3, so you’ll begin with your subclass and a clear sense of what your character can do right away. Characters will be created using D&D Beyond for ease of use. We’ll use options from Eberron: Rising from the Last War for races and backgrounds, along with standard 5e classes. If you’re unsure what to pick, I’ll help you choose something that fits both the setting and your playstyle. For ability scores, we’ll use the standard array to keep things balanced and straightforward. If you’re brand new, don’t stress about making the “perfect” character. I’ll walk you through everything and make sure you feel confident going into your first session.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Before the game, you’ll just need a few quick things set up: • A free D&D Beyond account for your character sheet • A Discord account for voice chat and communication • Access to Owlbear Rodeo (no download needed, I’ll provide the link) Once you join the game, I’ll send you all links and help you get set up if needed. If you’re new to any of these tools, don’t worry—I’ll walk you through everything step by step.
What Stephen brings to the table
I run games that focus on fun, clarity, and momentum. I embrace the Rule of Cool, so if you have a creative idea, I’ll work with you to make it happen rather than shut it down over technicalities. You can expect immersive storytelling with ambient music, light character voices, and a world that reacts to your choices. I aim to create cinematic moments while still keeping things easy to follow, especially for newer players. Combat will be engaging and purposeful, not overly complicated or dragged out. I prioritize helping you understand what’s happening and what your options are, so you always feel involved and confident in your decisions. Overall, my goal is to create a space where you can learn, experiment, and enjoy the game without pressure—whether that’s your first time playing or you’re just looking for a more relaxed, story-driven experience.

How Stephen creates a safe table
Player comfort and safety are important at my table. Before the game begins, I’ll share a simple Lines and Veils document so we can set clear boundaries around content. During the game, if anything feels uncomfortable, you can message me privately or speak up at any time and I’ll adjust immediately—no explanation needed. Session 0 will cover expectations around tone, playstyle, and boundaries so everyone feels clear and supported going in. After sessions, I’m always open to feedback to make sure the game continues to feel fun and comfortable for everyone.
