About the adventure
This game will start with fledgling adventurers getting their start in the slums of Neverwinter. They will have little to their names, joining together in a small job... Little do they know that the small job will lead to an adventure that not only saves the world's, but the multiverse itself! This is a hybrid homebrew and module based campaign. Even following the module, there will be homebrew changes to fix our story and to fit backstory elements.

About me
I absolutely love being a DM, online or in person. DM online. I was forced into it by my friends wanting to play D&D, but no one wanting to run the games. I took the mantle and enjoy it a lot. I'm a storyteller above anything else. I've ran a few one shots and short campaigns. I wanted to get into running online games and teaching others how to play. I love the creativity, teamwork, storytelling, and fun over everything else. Combat is fun, but it isn't the whole game. Roleplaying is a big part, but I never force anyone to roleplay if they feel shy. Everyone who wishes to join one of my games will be sent a link to my Discord. Creating your character
Character creation can occur before Session Zero. We will be using the 2014 rulesets, with plenty of my homebrew subclasses and official DnDBeyond things. When you join this game, I'll send you the Discord link to my ever-growing channel of characters. From Discord, I'll send you the link to the dndbeyond campaign. You will start with no equipment, no coin, and with standard array or point buy for stats!
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You will need a mic, a Discord account, DnDBeyond account, and make sure to download the AboveVTT plugin for Chrome or Firefox, internet service (duh), and a cooperating attitude with the others at the table. In the end, we are all gathering to tell an amazing story for all of us to remember for years!!!
What James brings to the table
I will bring the maps, the content, voices, imagination, a strong sense of storytelling, and the general outline of the story itself! I have many options of Homebrewed items in DnDBeyond. I bring ambient music, and I run pretty intense encounters at times. I strongly believe in the Role Playing part of our games. And I'm always open to creative outlets and the "Rule of Cool"
Homebrew rules
Drinking a potion as an action or out of combat will give you full effect of the healing. If it's drank as a bonus action, you'll have to roll for the result. Critical hits are called "Perfect Hits" to maximize damage to the monsters and the characters. If there is a way for me to get you to roll dice for an action, we are open to outlandish ideas during and outside of combat
