About the adventure
In this game, we will laugh, we will cry, we will have heroic moments, and then we will die! This is a roleplay-heavy adventure designed for epic heroics and hearty laughter, all leading up to the inevitable, cinematic demise of the entire party. If you’ve ever felt like the best part of a movie is the grand, tragic finale where the heroes go out in a blaze of glory, then this is the table for you. We aren’t here to worry about long-term survival or hoarding gold for retirement; we’re here to make sure our characters’ last stand is something the gods themselves will talk about. Who is this for? This campaign is for the players who love to lean into the "Role" in Roleplaying. It’s for the person who wants to try out a wild character concept without the pressure of a two-year commitment, or the veteran who wants to see just how much chaos they can cause before the floor gives way. If you enjoy a "Rule of Cool" atmosphere where a hilarious failure is just as rewarding as a natural 20, you’ll fit right in. We’re looking for players who are ready to embrace the absurdity of a doomed mission and turn it into a masterpiece of gallows humor. Setting & Theme Inspired by the hit series, we’ll be running from a collection of high-octane one-shots from Faster, Purple Worm! Volume 1. The setting shifts with each session—from trap-filled tombs to the belly of a cosmic beast—but the theme remains the same: Glorious Failure. The tone is a mix of high-fantasy action and dark comedy. Expect a world where the monsters are terrifyingly over-leveled and the odds are zero, but the opportunity for legendary roleplay is infinite. How We Play We play fast, we play loud, and we don't sweat the small stuff. Since every session is a one-shot that ends in a Total Party Kill, we focus on narrative flair over rigid number-crunching. Bring your most over-the-top character voices, your most questionable tactical decisions, and a healthy sense of irony. In this game, the "win condition" isn't staying alive—it's making sure your death scene is the funniest, most heroic, or most ridiculous moment of the night!

My storytelling draws on a love for fantasy, sci-fi, and comic book worlds—bringing familiar themes to life in unique and immersive ways. Above all, I believe in kindness, inclusivity, and making every game night something to look forward to. Life’s too short for hate. Love everyone! Let's roll some dice together!

Creating your character
The rules for character creation can also be found on my discord server: https://discord.gg/Kw95ZrV3xr We will be making mechanically simple characters using D&D 5.5e (2024) Rules. For this type of one shot, what we want to do is really lean into what makes this character an individual. We want to lean into the role-play and the decision making, the different types of ways that our skill set can interact with our environment and the choices that make each character unique. While it is true that these characters are destined to meet a sticky end at the finale of our session, they all deserve their moment of shining glory along the way! We will be using dndbeyond.com for character sheets and gameplay both! A link to your character sheet can be found here: https://www.dndbeyond.com/campaigns/join/76131223034366590

What Drew brings to the table
Wyrmwise brings a variety of voices and music to the table to create and immerse for the players to experience. With the session ending in an inevitable total party kill, Wyrmwise strives to provide each player with moments to shine in their own light along the way. We will strive to use Rules as Written with Rule of Cool judgment calls scattered along the way. The goal is to tell an entertaining, fun and overall hilarious story together.
