About the adventure

It used to be a capital but now is in ruins. An eldritch storm of shooting stars left the city decimated and at war with itself. Fog coats the streets converting man into monsters and monsters into abominations. A mystery sits at the center of this place but only the bravest adventuring party will be to uncover it. And you are the bravest of them all. Using the fantastic module, Dungeons of Drakkenheim, you will play low level adventurers dragged into the questions and quest at the heart of this place. In an open-ended and hyperresponsive campaign, you will be able to find the secrets at the center and possibly even save the people left behind. At the worst, you will find factions desperate to salvage something from the ruins - with your help, of course. What treasure will you find? What enigmas will enamor you? What will happen to the soul of this place? Only you get to decide!

About me

Hello adventurers! My name's Jacob and I've been running TTRPGs for over a decade with three years of experience full time GM-ing. With a long background in theatre as well as a former designer of escape rooms, I bring a wealth of experience to every game I run. My focus is on making a fun and satisfying story regardless of player history with the game. No matter whether your characters are trekking through a mountain pass, exploring the furthest reaches of space or even attending a spooky summer camp, you should be experiencing a well crafted adventure you will never forget! I also bring an attentive eye to representation within the game space. As a former organizer and field director for numerous political campaigns, I have fought for this first hand and will not let it go unnoticed in my games. There is a wide spectrum of games I have played and run varying from DND (5e and 3.5), Pathfinder (1e and 2e), Doctor Who, Kids on Bikes, Honey Heist, Mutants and Masterminds, Call of Cthulhu, Wet Hot American Summer, Everything Is Dolphins, Fallout RPG and much, much more. I look forward to crafting unique gaming experiences in these wildly different worlds exclusively for you.

Character creation

Creating your character

Character creation will happen as a part of session zero. I highly recommend you come with a few ideas but we will be making it together!

The current party

Everyone is welcome to have an amazing and unique character. We will build them together on April 18th!

What to expect

Preparing for the session

We will use D&DBeyond for character sheets and Owlbear for battle maps so I recommend an account for both, though we will do as part of Session Zero. More importantly is a working internet and microphone!

What Jacob Cordas brings to the table

I will provide you with a highly dynamic and fluid working of this fantastic campaign. My focus is always on player agency and, as you explore these horrifying halls, I will make sure you always have the most exciting, eldritch-infused adventure possible.

Safety

How Jacob Cordas creates a safe table

This game will be an epic adventure through out the troubled history of this haunted place. With that in mind, this game will take safety seriously so we can comfortable and securely roleplay all of the fantastic elements. We will have a full Session Zero that will include the Monte Cook RPG Consent Checklist. From there, while we play, we will use a variant of X, N And O Cards called Yellow/Red Cards as well as an Open Door Policy and a regularly scheduled Break.
