About the adventure

In the world of Adorica, dragons are not common by any means, though they are well known for their power and the benefits of their scales. Due to this, there is a booming market for them, without countless organizations paying others to hunt down dragons for their scales, which are said to have healing and regenerative properties, among other things. More than scales, however, is the coveted dragon egg, due to the many who have the dream of having a dragon bound to their command. Just like with any market, when there is demand, there must be a supplier. That is where you come in. You are a team of dragon hunters apart of the Ichneu Organization, a guild of dragon hunters slowly but surely gaining a foothold in the vast market. You will take on missions requiring you to continuously risk your life by trekking through dangerous territory to track down and kill(or capture) dragons, all for profit and power. And if that wasn't dangerous enough, you must also worry about the Alliance Of The Scale, a group dead set on protecting dragons at all costs, in addition to the other teams of dragon hunters, which may want to steal your kill.

About me

I have over 6 years of experience GM-ing, across multiple systems. I got into the tabletop world via D&D, and since then I've honed my craft as much as a can with systems like Blades In The Dark, CAIN, Vampire: The Masquerade, and more. I tend to go for more story driven games, where other themes like combat and exploration are used to add depth. Two of the things I value most in a game is freedom and the a good player backstory, one that I can interweave into the world itself.

Character creation

Creating your character

Character creation will happen before the game starts on dndbeyond. All characters will start at level 3, and will have one starting feat. Stats will be decided by rolling 4d6 and dropping the lowest. I will not be including or allowing content from Grim Hallow, Valda's, or Illrigger. Any other content, both homebrew and third party, will be approved or disapproved when it is brought up.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

All you will need is a discord account and a dndbeyond account.

What KEY brings to the table

Due to the nature of PBP games I will provide an incredibly detailed and immersive world for the players to interact with. I will also provide tactically challenging and interesting combat.

Homebrew rules

Potions(and similar) can be drunk as a bonus action. Drinking or administering a potion(or similar) as an action will grant you the full effect, instead of rolling. On a critical success you will gain advantage on certain rolls for a bit. On a critical failure you will suffer disadvantage on certain rolls for a bit. I will be modifying some of the dragon statblocks to make them a bit more interesting than they are. I will not only be including some different types of dragons not in the books, but also some interesting elemental effects.

How KEY creates a safe table

My Xs, Ns, and Os can be sent to me digitally. I will also be sending each player an RPG Checklist, so that I can tailor the content in the game to be safe for all party members. In addition, I also employ an open door policy for all my games.
