About the adventure

The notorious lich Vecna is weaving a ritual to eliminate good, obliterate the gods, and subjugate all worlds. To stop Vecna before he remakes the universe, the heroes work with three of the multiverse’s most famous archmages, travel to far-flung locales, and rebuild the legendary Rod of Seven Parts. Vecna: Eve of Ruin is a high-stakes adventure in which Dungeon Masters and players can change the multiverse’s fate. This book includes legendary D&D figures, iconic fantasy locations, terrifying new monsters, and more!

About me

My name is Thomaz, i'm from Brazil and DMing is my full time job! The first time i played D&D was back when i had 12, it was 3.5e. I had no ideia what i was doing but i felt in love with this game. My favorite edition by far is 5e, its so easy to learn! I have a large selection of campaigns i can DM for any party, going from light-hearted to dark fantasy. If i dont know it yet i can quickly get a it ready if the party wants! I also have a degree in languages (Portuguese-English), back in the day my goal was to teach native English speakers to learn Portuguese. I don't plain to be a tutor anymore, but i think i can still have that goal with D&D, helping my players learning while they play! My main goal is show the amazing world of RPG and help them to learm it! I have a game every single day of the week, morning and evening!

Character creation

Creating your character

I strongly encourage the player to create the own character, but if them don't have the time for it i will have many character sheets created in advance. I have a campaing in DND beyond with shared content so you should be able to make your character with no problem there! And then we import to the Foundry! The rules for character creation are simple: Point buy 27 points, all official books materials allowed (except for background that give extra feats) and no homebrew but perhaps some cool UA if the player really wants. Since your are level 10 you will start with the extra itens 500 gp plus 1d10 × 25 gp, 1 Rare item, 2 Uncommon items, 2 common potions or scrolls, 2 uncommon potions or scrolls! I recommend to link those itens to your background. Adventure starts in Neverwinter. The d10 gold we roll in the beggining of the session to see how much extra you have. For all the things in the game we will use FoundryVTT, to roll dice, combat on the grid, etc. But all the chat will be managed on Discord.

The current party

This will be a long, high-level campaign where players will have the opportunity to grow powerful, expand their influence throughout the multiverse, and fully experience their high-level features.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

All players will need to connect to discord and FoundryVTT, for that both links will be provided. I also recommend building your character on D&D beyond. Have at least a good mic, webcam is only necessary if you feel comfortable using it. The players don't need to be D&D rulers experts but i strongly encourage them to learn about the own class.

What Thomaz Eblen brings to the table

Be a Dungeon Master is my full time job, i take it really seriously. I have more than 10 years of experience been a DM. With Foundry VTT theres all sort of animated spells, battlemaps and so on to better enhance the immersion! DnD Beyond shared content: Curse of Strahd, Wild Beyond the Witchlight, PHB, MM, Xanatha's, Tasha's, Sword Coast guide!

Homebrew rules

I tend to add homebrews as the game goes for the better quality of life of players.

Safety

How Thomaz Eblen creates a safe table

I like to use some quality of life homebrew and change things that might make the game more slow or less fun. I always assume potions are bonus actions, but if you drink a heal potion with a action you get the full healing effect from it. I like to stack inspirations up to your proficiency modifier and let them work as luck points, role-play like rewards the players in my games.
