About the adventure
Welcome to your first step into the world of Dungeons & Dragons, a game of imagination, teamwork, and adventure. In this beginner-friendly campaign, you will play as a group of heroes arriving at the edge of a dangerous frontier, where a small settlement clings to survival against monsters, bandits, and mysteries lurking just beyond its walls. The setting is classic fantasy with swords, magic, strange creatures, and ancient ruins waiting to be explored. You do not need any prior experience, just a willingness to try something new and have fun. This game is designed specifically for new players, so we will learn as we go. I will guide you through the rules, help you understand your character’s abilities, and make sure everyone gets a chance to shine. Expect a balance of storytelling, exploration, and combat, with plenty of opportunities to ask questions and experiment. There is no wrong way to play, whether you enjoy roleplaying your character, solving problems creatively, or jumping into action, there is a place for you here. My style as a Dungeon Master is supportive, flexible, and focused on making sure everyone at the table feels comfortable and included. I like to keep things moving, explain rules in plain language, and adapt the story based on your choices. Think of it as a collaborative story where you are the main characters, and your decisions shape what happens next. If you have ever wanted to try D&D but did not know where to start, this is the perfect place. Bring your curiosity, your creativity, and maybe a little courage. The frontier is waiting.

About me
I have been adventuring in Dungeons & Dragons since 2007, guiding heroes through perilous dungeons, strange realms, and stories that linger long after the dice stop rolling. With nearly two decades at the table, I bring the instincts of a seasoned storyteller and the calm hand of a director shaping an unfolding narrative in real time. I began my adult life as a filmmaker, learning how to craft tension, pacing, character arcs, and cinematic moments. That background still shapes every session I run: battles feel dramatic, discoveries feel meaningful, and the world feels like a living story rather than a static game board. I have a PhD in the arts, deepening my understanding of narrative, performance, and collaborative creativity. The result is a style of Dungeon Mastering that blends theatrical storytelling, improvisation, and thoughtful worldbuilding with the unpredictability of the dice. Mechanics exist to support the story, not suffocate it. Clever ideas, bold risks, and heroic nonsense are welcome at his table. If a player comes up with something brilliant, absurd, or spectacular, chances are the answer will be yes. Whether you’re a brand-new adventurer or a veteran hero, mygames are designed to be welcoming, dramatic, and unforgettable.

What Brad brings to the table
I will provide everything you need to get started, including pre-made characters to jump straight into the game. I will guide you through the rules step by step, explain what your options are in each situation, and make sure you always feel comfortable asking questions. You do not need to bring anything except yourself. Dice, character sheets, and digital tools will all be provided. At the table, I focus on creating a welcoming and low-pressure environment where everyone can learn at their own pace. I will clearly describe the world, the people in it, and the choices in front of you, so you always know what is going on and what you can do next. If you are ever unsure, I will offer suggestions to help you get unstuck, without taking away your agency or decisions. My GM style is flexible and player-focused. I adapt the story based on what you are interested in, whether that is combat, exploration, problem solving, or roleplay. I aim to keep a steady pace so there is always something happening, while still giving moments for characters to interact and grow. Mistakes are part of the learning process, and I treat them as opportunities rather than problems. Most importantly, I will make sure the game stays fun, collaborative, and inclusive. This is a shared story where your ideas matter, and I will work with you to create memorable moments, surprising twists, and a world that responds to your choices.

How Brad creates a safe table
This game is designed to be welcoming and beginner-friendly, with a focus on adventure, teamwork, and light fantasy danger. You can expect classic fantasy elements such as combat with monsters, mild peril, and moments of tension, but nothing overly graphic or disturbing. There may be themes of violence in a fantasy context, such as fighting creatures or defending the town from threats. Descriptions will remain moderate and not overly detailed. Some scenarios may include moral choices, danger to non-player characters, or references to loss, but these will be handled with care and kept appropriate for a general audience. Player comfort is a priority. Before we begin, we will go over any topics you would prefer to avoid, and I will adjust the game accordingly. We can use simple safety tools during play so anyone can pause or redirect the scene if something feels uncomfortable. The goal is to create a space where everyone feels safe, respected, and able to enjoy the adventure
