About the adventure

War Comes to Ravenloft is an expanded Curse of Strahd campaign. Prepare to explore the dark land of Barovia and face the evils there as well as a new threat that comes from beyond the mists. This campaign will have an open-world structure much like the vanilla Curse of Strahd campaign but with some additional storylines that span this and potentially other locales in the various Domains of Dread in the Shadowfell, and beyond!

About me

After 25 years of GMing and even more as a player, I love world-building, storytelling and seeing the imaginative ideas that players bring to our table. After years of enjoying and being part of other peoples' stories, I had to bring my own stories to share with my friends, old and new. I have run all sorts of games from the worlds of White Wolf (Mage, Vampire, Exalted), Shadowrun, Dungeons and Dragons, and more! I love a rich and interactive world and love to play to the flavor of game my players are looking for. If you have a group of 2-3 folks who have a preferred time or game type, feel free to message and I am usually willing to something on my schedule for you if you have the availability.

Character creation

Creating your character

Please come prepared with a standard level 1 D&D 5e character (standard point buy for attributes) with standard starting gear as described in the character background and class. If using gold to purchase starting gear instead of a starting package, take the max amount rollable and choose items only from the PHB. All core 5e materials are acceptable (no homebrew or non-WotC content without GM approval). Unearthed Arcana playtest materials allowed with DM approval. Please reach out with questions at DarkeDomayn@gmail.com. First session will be a session zero where we will finalize all characters, go over rp safety and preferences, and do a brief intro for characters.
