About the adventure
Spelljammer: Adventures in Space is a campaign setting that brings "swashbuckling fantasy" to the Dungeons & Dragons universe with nautical 1930s-style pulp science fiction. This setting allows players to travel between different campaign worlds using magical ships powered by specialized helms, navigating "Wildspace" and the "Astral Sea". The campaign itself is designed for player levels 5 - 8 but I am able to run the campaign from 1 or 3 to level 20 if the party is interested! Cool aspects to the campaign are: -Spelljamming Helms: These are magical, throne-like items that allow a spellcaster to pilot a ship. The pilot controls the vessel with their thoughts. -Air Envelopes & Gravity: Ships create their own gravity planes and carry a "bubble" of breathable air with them, allowing for comfortable travel in the void. -The Rock of Bral: A central, bustling asteroid city that acts as a hub for adventures, acting similarly to a pirate port like Tortuga or a fantasy version of Waterdeep in space. I enjoy working with both beginner and advanced players so don't be shy! I also love working with individuals learning the English language through gaming as well. Don't get me wrong, while the players are always in a chill, fun but energetic mode, your characters will be challenged in every way possible through character choices, combat and storylines. We can run characters just through the campaign or keep them going to become legends of many realms!!!!

About me
Hello!! My name is Jeff and I have been playing and dreaming about D&D since I was 8 years old. I love the fantasy and Sci-Fi genre and now I want to bring that love and passion to other players. My daily job is being the bard of wine so I have been a professional storyteller for years. I enjoy bringing excitement and intrigue to the "table" and allowing the players to truly drive the narrative. I also truly love bringing the history and lore of D&D into my games while letting magic in every possible way have it's shining moments! Castles, gold, magic items, dungeons and dragons let's goooo!!!! I get excited just talking about it. I am a very open minded individual and I enjoy being there for the players in the games I'm running. I love the creativity that other people bring to the table and I enjoy incorporating their wisdom and knowledge into the setting. Fun by all is the number one goal! I look forward to hopefully playing with you all at some point and may you roll many Natural 20's in your adventures to come.

Creating your character
Feel free to use any sourcebook. Start at level one and we will use either point buy or the highest rolled stats from the group. It will be up to you to decide what you want for your character. I will send you the link for the discord channel and the D&Dbeyond link after you join. Creating characters is one of my favorite things so feel free to ask questions or talk about your character's backstory at anytime. Have fun with it and nothing is too crazy!
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Adventurers will be expected to provide the following: • A microphone of standard quality and a free Discord account used to join the group as well as speak to your fellow adventurers. • A webcam is not required. There are no expectations to have, or use, a webcam in any capacity at this venture but feel free to do so! • A free D&D Beyond account where character creation will happen! • Headphones are recommended for the best experience to hear your fellow adventurers and DM clearly.
What Jeff brings to the table
You can expect the following in this adventure: - I provide most of the sourcebooks from both 2014 and 2024 ruleset from D&D Beyond. - I do use self generated AI rooms at times to create particular moods and settings. - I use maps from sourcebooks as well as generated maps from the internet - I use Syrinscape for sound effects and ambient music as well as different musical artists and powerful, maybe popular songs to identify characters and NPCs. - I love artwork of characters and places and will help you create that as well if you're interested. - I like sticking to the rules but if there is something that your character needs or wants and it makes sense then I'm down!

How Jeff creates a safe table
Expect to be welcomed into a safe and inclusive environment. Mental health is a high priority for this table and game, and breaks for health, stepping away, and open discussions about topics will be heavily discussed and permitted with ease. Feel free to contact me anytime (in game as well) and we'll discuss any limits to descriptions, enemy types, and concepts that are present in spacefaring adventures, and your DM will strive to write in healthy alternatives to keep the game flowing!
