🧙 Session 0: Character Creation 🎲 We’ll create our characters together during a free Session 0, making sure everyone is comfortable with the process and excited about the hero they’ll be playing. ✨ What We’ll Do in Session 0 📖 Create Characters Together We’ll walk through character creation step-by-step so everyone can build the character they want to play. 💻 Use D&D Beyond All characters will be created on **D&D Beyond**, and you’ll have access to **all of my shared resources and books** there. 🤝 Collaborate & Ask Questions This is a relaxed time to ask questions, explore options, and work together to build characters that fit the party and the world. 🌍 Connect Your Character to the World We can also discuss **backstories, motivations, and party connections** to help bring your character to life before the adventure begins. --- 🎉 Session 0 is completely free and designed to make sure everyone feels prepared, confident, and ready to start the campaign!

🗺️ What I Bring 🎲 We’ll be adventuring using FoundryVTT, an online TTRPG platform where I provide all the maps, tokens, and visuals for our sessions. ⚙️ Tools & Features 🖥️ Private FoundryVTT Server – Easy connection through an invite link 🎵 Ambient background music to set the mood 🗺️ Custom maps & tokens for immersive exploration 🔦 Dynamic lighting so your character only sees what they should 📖 D&D Beyond Integration I have a Master Tier subscription, so I’ll provide a campaign link where you can manage your character and access shared resources. --- 🎭 My DM Style As a DM, I believe in the “Rule of Cool” while staying grounded in the D&D 5e rules. If you’re unsure what to play, we can collaborate together to create a character you’re excited about. 🌍 The world is fully homebrewed, so I can adapt the setting to support almost any character concept you can imagine.

Homebrew rules

📜 Homebrew Rules at the Table ⚙️ To keep the game flowing and make heroic moments shine, we use a few simple homebrew rules: --- 🧪 Potion Use - Drink a potion yourself as a Bonus Action - Give a potion to a willing ally as an Action 💥 Critical Hit Damage - Roll your damage normally - Add maximum value of the dice - Then add all modifiers (Big crits should feel BIG!) ⚔️ ⭐ Hero Points (Instead of Inspiration) - Players can hold up to 3 Hero Points - Spend one(or more) to reroll a d20 roll - Rewards heroic moments and great roleplay 🎭 🎲 These rules are meant to keep gameplay fast, cinematic, and fun while still staying close to the core system.

How Aaron creates a safe table

🛡️ Player Safety Tools Creating a welcoming and comfortable environment for everyone at the table is very important. To support this, we will use several table safety tools that allow players to communicate boundaries and ensure everyone enjoys the experience. 🧭 Session 0 Before the campaign begins, we’ll hold a Session 0 where we discuss expectations, character creation, and group preferences. During this session we will: - Discuss tone and themes of the campaign - Review table rules and expectations - Talk about comfort levels and boundaries - Make sure everyone understands the tools available to keep the table safe This helps ensure everyone starts the campaign on the same page. 🚧 Lines and Veils This tool helps define content boundaries for the group. 🚫 Lines Topics that will not appear in the game at all. 🌫️ Veils Topics that may exist in the world but will fade to black or be handled off-screen rather than described in detail. Players can suggest lines or veils during Session 0 or privately with the GM at any time. 🎴 X, N, and O Cards These tools allow players to communicate comfort levels during the game without interrupting the flow. ❌ X Card – Immediately stop or change the current content if something feels uncomfortable. No explanation required. ⚠️ N Card – Signals that the content is approaching a boundary and should shift direction. ⭕ O Card – Indicates that everything is good and the scene can continue. Any of these cards can be messaged to me privately in discord or verbally stated at anytime during any scene These tools help ensure everyone feels safe and respected during play. 🚪 Open Door Policy Players are always free to step away from the game at any time if they need a break, without explanation or judgment. This can include: - Taking a quick break - Leaving early if necessary - Messaging the GM privately about concerns Your comfort and well-being are always more important than continuing a scene. ✨ These tools help us maintain a respectful, inclusive, and supportive table where everyone can focus on enjoying the adventure together.
