About the adventure
This is a moderate (6-10) session campaign, designed as an introduction to the system for people either new to roleplaying and/or to Warhammer Fantasy Role-playing as a system. I will be prepared to assist completely with: rules, mechanics, and character creation. I am very familiar with the world of Warhammer and feel confident in presenting new players with an engaging and approachable game to try out. There is scope for the sessions to become a full long term campaign afterwards if people desire it. Session 0 is free! I use discord and virtual tabletop software for 3D maps, all you need is discord and a microphone to start playing! I will send you any necessary information when we hit session zero or beforehand. I would encourage new players that I am a very friendly and approachable GM and I am skilled in making my tables inclusive, even if you've never played a role-playing game before I will make sure you never feel left out. Warhammer is a dark fantasy world, it is very possible your characters might not make it to the end of the forest - this is ok, it is a learning curve after all!

About me
I have been DMing games for several years now, roughly two or three weekly sessions, some paid some not. I have run starfinder, wanderhome, but primarily DND campaigns which have lasted for years and one of which is still going from its start. I use a variety of software, maps, virtual tabletops etc, to create an immersive experience for my players. My style is somewhat whimsical, I allow players lots of freedom, but always with a strong narrative core. I am a trained actor and storytelling is the heart of my skillset. I prefer story over mechanics, but still work within the rules of the game and enjoy making sure players dont try to go against the spirit of the game. I have run some modules of DND, but these all eventually ended up with homebrew elements, and now I am in the process of worldbuilding a complete homebrew setting for my next campaign. I am partway through an online course in DMing which has given me plenty of tips and skills on making my encounters and storytelling even better.

Creating your character
I will be guiding players through character creation during session zero, we will all work together to make sure we understand the rules of the system and how it all fits together as Warhammer Fantasy RP is quite different to DND and other systems in terms of making a character. We will be level 1.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You will need a Discord account to join the server where will all be playing. Otherwise you only need a microphone and possibly webcam, I will be streaming the maps etc so you don't need access to other software.
What Obelisk brings to the table
I am all about storytelling and voices. I love to immerse my players in the world with NPCs brimming with life! As this is a shorter campaign a lot will happen quickly, and you can be assured of many fast paced encounters. There will be 3D and 2D maps, as well as other visual aids and potentially custom figures for your characters!

How Obelisk creates a safe table
Between session zero and session one, players will need to fill in a form (this can be anonymous if wanted) that details any subjects players are either comfortable with or not comfortable with or are a grey area. I operate an open table where calling for a break is always accepted and there is never any pressure to take part in an aspect of gameplay you are uncomfortable with, for any reason at all. I encourage players to be open about their health, within reason, and I am happy to take into account any players needs regarding changes to gameplay to make it accessible for them. I strongly believe DND should be accessible to everyone. There are certain things I operate a zero tolerance policy on regarding behavior and which will never happen in my groups. Overall, I use several safety tools and processes to keep all my players safe and enjoying the game.
