About the adventure

Phandalin stands on the edge of something greater. A long-lost dwarven mine has been rediscovered, promising prosperity for the struggling frontier town. But old tensions stir in the hills, and strange signs on the wind hint that the region is far from stable. What begins as a simple job soon draws you into secrets buried beneath stone and snow alike. As you travel the Sword Mountains and the wild lands beyond, every choice shapes the future of Phandalin. Alliances form, rivalries sharpen, and unseen forces test the town’s fragile hope. Some threats strike openly, others move in shadow, but all are connected in ways not yet understood. Reclaim what was lost, protect what has been built, and decide what kind of future this frontier will claim. In this unified adventure, small-town struggles grow into something far larger, and your actions will determine whether Phandalin rises or fades back into legend. Play through an epic adventure, combining the campaigns of "Lost Mine of Phandelver", "Dragon of Icespire Peak", Storm Lord's Wrath", "Sleeping Dragon's Wake", and "Divine Contention" into one singular campaign! --------------------- A Solo Play-by-Post game is a 1-on-1 storytelling experience between you and me, the GM, played entirely through written posts. That's the beauty of solo play. You set your own pace, responding when it's convenient for you. What to expect: - Deep roleplay and immersive writing, with a story that puts your character's choices, goals, and growth in the spotlight - At least one post per day, with potentially more depending on availability - Art and visual aids to enhance your adventure

About me

As what I'm sure is quite the familiar story by now, I first starting playing D&D5e during the Covid-19 pandemic. At first, it was something that a few of my friends and I did to stay connected and pass the time, but it soon blossomed into a full-grown passion for me. Not long after that game ended, I found StartPlaying, and found an easy way to find games to play in and people to play with. Having played as a player for most of my time, I want to grow as a DM, so hopefully I can help other people looking to play find their outlet.

Character creation

Creating your character

We will use D&D Beyond to create the character sheet. We will be using the 2024 rules update, and all official 1st-party classes, backgrounds, and species are allowed. Any 3rd-party/homebrew material is subject to approval We will start at Level 1, and you can use your preferred method for determining your stats (Standard Array / Point-Buy / Roll 3 sets of 4d6 dropping the lowest for each stat) We can build your character during Session 0, or you can create one beforehand. It's up to you!

What to expect

Preparing for the session

You will need a Discord and D&D Beyond account

What Evan brings to the table

I will provide access to all 1st-party content on D&D Beyond to help build your character. Upon joining the campaign, I will provide dedicated Discord server where the game will take place. There will be sections for the game, for out-of-character chat, for maps/art, and battle maps to better visualize combat I will run the game Rules as Written, but there is always room for Rule of Cool if it makes sense and can be justified.

Homebrew rules

- Healing Potions: Bonus Action = Rolled HP / Action = Full Amount - Critical Hit: When rolling a Critical Hit on an attack, we will use max damage, in additional to another damage roll - Critical Success: When rolling a Natural 20 on a skill check, it is an automatic success - Desperate Measures: When you hit half-health or become "Bloodied", you will be able to make Desperate Measures, allowing you to mark off Death Saving Throws in exchange for the ability to push yourself beyond your normal limits

Safety

How Evan creates a safe table

At our Session 0, we will go over character creation and backstory, a brief explanation of this module, house rules for game, safety tools and their use, and anything else that may come up as we get the game ready. My number one priority is that you have a fun time playing and are comfortable
