About the adventure

Set in the storied lands of Faerun, the frontier town of Phandalin sits where opportunity meets danger. Built on the bones of older ruins and fuelled by the promise of nearby mines, it is a place of hard work, louder taverns, and second chances. Traders roll through on dusty roads, prospectors chase fortune in the hills, and most folk keep a crossbow near the door. It is not glamorous, but it is honest. Or it was. Now the air feels tense. People vanish. Strange black stone fragments appear where no stone should be. Whispers curl through cellar floors at night, and a quiet but fervent devotion has taken root among certain townsfolk. Something ancient stirs beneath the streets, and a hidden cult works to bring it fully into the light. Phandalin needs bold souls willing to ask dangerous questions and venture into darker places. You are not legends yet, but this is how legends begin. Take up your blade, ready your spells, gather your courage, and step into the growing shadow. Uncover the truth, break the corruption spreading through the town, and decide what rises from below. Phandalin’s future is unwritten. It is yours to shape.

About me

I’m a creative easy going human in his 30’s based in rainy England. A little about me… I’m an arty, corgi dad who started playing ttrpgs in the dark times of Covid, quickly progressed from intrepid hero to Gm after watching way too much CR and D20, I started with 5e and have progressed into the new 24/5.5 what ever you wish to call it rules, and have recently started dabbling in Daggerheart. My games are collaborative, and rule of cool is key! I want to help bring the stories you want to tell to the table, and if the core rules don’t do it I’m happy to introduce homebrew/ third party content to help bring it to life (providing it isn’t utterly broken) In my spare time I am partial to coffee, drawing characters and gaming! But most importantly of all I am a corgi papa and he does like to add his own sound effects sometimes too…

Character creation

Creating your character

Charcters will be made in a session zero together.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

• Download Discord and have an account ready (that’s where we’ll play). • Create a free D&D Beyond account so you can access shared content and character sheets. • Have a microphone and headphones/speakers for voice chat. • A stable internet connection (since this is an online game). We will make characters in session zero! That’s it! No fancy setup required, just bring your character idea and your sense of adventure.

What Iggy brings to the table

• D&D Beyond Master Tier subscription – access to a huge library of official and third-party books • Custom homebrew options – happy to create unique character choices if you’re after something special • Immersive atmosphere – ambient music and a dedicated Discord server for smooth play • Dynamic combat – tactical maps (including Czepeku maps) run through D&D Beyond • Rule of Cool – fun, cinematic moments always come first over strict rules • NPC roleplay – I bring characters to life with voices and personality (even if they sometimes shift between sessions!)

Safety

How Iggy creates a safe table

I use safety tools to make sure everyone feels comfortable and has fun during the adventure. Before we begin, we’ll briefly set expectations and discuss any boundaries, using tools like the Deck of Safety to flag topics we’d like to avoid or approach with care. During play, I’ll check in with the group, and breaks will be built in at the halfway point—though anyone can always call for a pause if needed. My goal is to keep the table safe, respectful, and focused on the fun of telling great stories together.
