About the adventure
War. Political intrigue.Conspiracy. Not to mention the rampant crime that has filled the void these things created. The continent of Wildemount is rife with adventure and conflict for players to solve or avoid as they choose. Players will start at level three and will continue to advance until campaign's end. This campaign is meant to be a long term game, and will be catered best to mid-beginner to intermediate players. I always have patience for beginners, however, and the utlimate goal is fun and connection. This game will contain some darker tones, with plenty of opportunity to flesh out character backstories via roleplay. I highly encourage engaging in deep in-character conversation, descriptive combat, and creativity in how characters are portrayed. I will be as descriptive as possible and aim to immerse players as much as possible.

About me
To me, D&D is more than just a hobby. I treat it as a lifestyle and my favorite thing about it is how it creates deep, long lasting bonds and meaningful connections with others. Storytelling is one of my favorite ways to express myself and I love sharing that with others

Creating your character
We will begin creating characters in session 0, and will discuss custom origins based on the Exandria setting as well as backstories.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
We will use Discord for voice and D&D Beyond for character sheets and VTT
What Brandon brings to the table
I bring descriptive settings and combat, character voices, a balance between rule of cool and rules as written, and aspiration to maximize immersion
Homebrew rules
A few homebrew rules I like to include: A natural 20 will result in double damage after the normal dice roll, including any modifiers. For example, if your weapon does 1d6+2 damage, a critical hit will be calculated as 2(1d6+2) as opposed to 2d6+2. I will also be rolling a d4, and on an odd number, the enemy being damaged will be disarmed. If the enemy was not armed, then they will lose an appendage.
