About the adventure
Imprisoned beneath the world, your story begins in chains. The Underdark is a realm of twisting caverns, eerie beauty, and lurking peril. Myconids whisper strange wisdom in your dreams, kobolds plot in the dark with more enthusiasm than sense, and even a devil or two might offer a crooked deal. You could cross paths with a cult, bargain with unsettling allies, or run from a beholder whose idea of “conversation” turning you into ash. But the shadows hold darker truths still. The Abyss has spilled into the deep, and demon lords now walk the Underdark, their chaos spreading ruin and madness across Faerûn. What begins as a desperate escape becomes a tale of survival, discovery, and unlikely friendships forged in the strangest of places. This is a story where horror meets oddity, where lighthearted moments shine in the dark. You may escape the Underdark—but when you do, how much of you will be left?

Meet the Game Master
About me
I’m a creative easy going human in his 30’s based in rainy England. A little about me… I’m an arty, corgi dad who started playing ttrpgs in the dark times of Covid, quickly progressed from intrepid hero to Gm after watching way too much CR and D20, I started with 5e and have progressed into the new 24/5.5 what ever you wish to call it rules, and have recently started dabbling in Daggerheart. My games are collaborative, and rule of cool is key! I want to help bring the stories you want to tell to the table, and if the core rules don’t do it I’m happy to introduce homebrew/ third party content to help bring it to life (providing it isn’t utterly broken) In my spare time I am partial to coffee, drawing characters and gaming! But most importantly of all I am a corgi papa and he does like to add his own sound effects sometimes too…

Creating your character
Character Creation Session Zero: We’ll create characters together, but you’re welcome to bring ideas beforehand. Rules: Using the 2024 D&D ruleset. Stats: Standard Array. Level: Characters start at Level 1. Content: All official core content is allowed. Homebrew/Third-Party: Possible, but must be discussed and approved first. Underdark Races: Not available at the start (though we can talk if you’re very keen). Equipment: You begin with no gear — your story starts in captivity. Collaboration: Bring your creativity — we’ll shape the party together in Session Zero.

Safety
How Iggy creates a safe table
I always begin with a Session Zero, where we set expectations together, discuss boundaries, and ensure everyone feels comfortable with the themes in play. I use tools such as the Deck of Safety to highlight topics we may want to avoid or approach with care. During sessions, I check in with players and encourage open communication if something is not working. Breaks are built in at the halfway point, and anyone is welcome to call for a pause at any time. My goal is to create a table where everyone feels safe, respected, and free to focus on the fun of telling great stories together.
