About the adventure
This adventure concerns a once-proud fortress that fell into the earth in an age long past. Now known as the Sunless Citadel, its echoing, broken halls house malign creatures. Evil has taken root at the citadel’s core, which is deep within a subterranean garden of blighted foliage. Here a terrible tree and its dark shepherd plot in darkness. This adventure is perfectly geared toward new or less experienced players. Advanced players may find the pace too slow for them.

About me
I started DMing D&D a long time ago and have just recently picked back up with TTRPGs a few years ago starting with local in person games then moved to online games. A big fan of D&D, DaggerHeart, Critical Role, Sneak Attack, Dungeon Dudes, Ginny Di, Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, The Princess Bride, and Board Games of many types.

Creating your character
We will create the characters together during session 0 using the DnDBeyond character builder. I will be available on Discord for any questions about your character and it's building process. If this is your first role-playing experience, I will take the time to explain all the subtleties of character creation and help you through the process as clearly as possible. We will be using the D&D 2024 players handbook and starters guide for character classes, races, and other options.

What Alex brings to the table
A complete VTT adventure experience: I will provide battle maps, tokens, character sheets, rules, music, and the Discord server. The “cool” rule: We will follow the 2024 rules as written for the most part. If you want to attempt something creative that is not covered in the rules I will do my best to come up with an appropriate skill check or such to make it happen. I do love to reward creativity. Tactical combat and perilous exploration: You'll need to work as a team and be creative to survive. Many traps and enemies await you and you will need to rely on each hero's strengths to overcome these obstacles. A narrative experience: I have always been more of a tactical DM and am still learning the intricacies to immersive story telling. My NPC voices are terrible but that does not stop me from doing them. Together we can make this an epic and unique adventure worthy of your story... or your death...
