About the adventure
I want to design the campaign with heavy input from players/player characters and their choices. The idea is that we will follow generations of player characters through different eras of time and see how they affect the world. I am a believer in player agency, player buy-in, and allowing players to develop things within a world. To bring these things to the forefront I want to give you more control over what makes up the setting of your campaign. At the beginning of the campaign each player will choose an element of the world to add and help develop (how involved you are in the development would be up to you); this element could be anything from a playable race to a criminal organization to a god and their religion. Once these aspects are chosen I will weave them all together to create a world and campaign for us to play. In a perfect world, after each campaign all the players would introduce, or choose to advance existing, parts of the campaign setting to add more depth as we move the campaign up through time. I DM games using the FoundryVTT software that helps me run faster combats and more jam-packed sessions. My aim is to minimize the parts of the game that are tedious and maximize the epic moments you want with your characters. This game will seek to strike a balance between combat and roleplay while combining it all into an engaging and deep world. This is a homebrew, custom campaign that will never be run again.

About me
I started as a Dungeon Master online at the beginning of 2020. I know my tools inside and out, and I know how to create a tabletop experience online because it is the medium I started in. I take advantage of the technology whenever I can to enhance everyone's experience by automating the tedious parts of the game so more focus can be put on aspects of the game you love. I use a combination of D&D Beyond, FoundryVTT and Discord to run my games. I am looking forward to meeting you! Please message me if you have any questions! Creating your character
Characters will be made with D&D Beyond during the session zero. Stats will be generated through a modified rolling system. There may be racial limitations and certain backstory expectations depending on the class/race you choose. For these campaigns, there may also be limitations on character options due to what has not yet been added to the collaborative campaign setting. You are free to not use D&D Beyond; just please let me know beforehand. Alternatively, I can also provide a pregenerated character to you.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You will at least need a mic, Discord account, a stable internet connection, and a D&D Beyond account (if you want easy access to my content library on the platform). Everything else can be taken care of by me. Reading over the rules and becoming more familiar with D&D is also always useful. I'll also go over FoundryVTT with you.
What Justin brings to the table
I provide the majority of official books on D&D Beyond via content sharing, and I also have a community of people who are currently on my games on Discord. I also utilize FoundryVTT for battlemaps and world maps. I am bringing years of D&D experience online, and I am looking forward to starting a new campaign with you.
Homebrew rules
You may choose your spellcasting ability score (wisdom, intelligence, or charisma) independently of your class. Examples of this include an intelligence based warlock or a wisdom based paladin. When taking levels in a class you may choose to take a subclass feature from any subclass of that class of equal or lower level to that subclass feature. In some instances this may not work, like an Assassin taking the Soul Blades feature from a Soulknife due to the Assassin’s lack of psi dice.
