A few things I have really enjoyed about Brick's DM style: 1. Voice acting is PHENOMENAL. SERIOUSLY. LIKE. SERIOUSLY. HE'S GOOD. AND I LIVE IN L.A. AND KNOW AT LEAST ONE PROFESSIONAL VA. BRICK IS SO GOOD. He is also very very adaptive. He always manages to make random characters feel real *ON THE FLY*. AND HE MANAGES TO DO IT LATE AT NIGHT AFTER WORK. LIKE, I DO NOT UNDERSTAND HOW HE DOES IT. but it is good. It is *so* good. 2. Combat and roleplay is very well balanced. My current campaign with him does not have a lot of puzzles -- but I feel like that's because our party members generally are more action-oriented. I have still witnessed him leverage puzzle mechanics to great effect, however. 3. I feel like he is sensitive to limits, and has repeatedly demonstrated an ability to foster party discussion on sensitive topics. I have found he is most supportive when approached respectfully out of game first to discuss potential issues. But he has also demonstrated an ability to work with issues on the spot. He is very good at respecting opinions. And he is very good at not crossing into R-rated territory without prior discussion. 4. I really like how he adjudicates grey areas in the rules. I feel like his rulings are generally consistent and well-reasoned and never feel capricious or unpredictable. Even if his rulings aren't always advantageous to *me*, they make *sense* and don't feel unfair. 5. Highly recommended for beginners. He is very good at working with players on how they want to build their character. And he is very open to ideas for character builds as long as you can explain how it makes sense and how it's within the bounds of the rules. I highly recommend.
