About the adventure
It all starts with one job.... your party being hired to escort a carriage to the small, frontier town of Phandalin. The town has it's own problems, but there are much more happening below the nose's of the citizenry. Does your party have what it takes to unravel the mysteries and become heroes?? This adventure is great for beginners and seasoned adventurers!

About me
I absolutely love being a DM, online or in person. DM online. I was forced into it by my friends wanting to play D&D, but no one wanting to run the games. I took the mantle and enjoy it a lot. I'm a storyteller above anything else. I've ran a few one shots and short campaigns. I wanted to get into running online games and teaching others how to play. I love the creativity, teamwork, storytelling, and fun over everything else. Combat is fun, but it isn't the whole game. Roleplaying is a big part, but I never force anyone to roleplay if they feel shy. Everyone who wishes to join one of my games will be sent a link to my Discord. Creating your character
When you apply for this game, I will send a link to my ever growing Discord channel where we will roll stats! From there, we can go over character ideas in a channel with the other players. I will then send a campaign link on DnDBeyond, where we will only be using the "2014" rulesets only!! You will start at Level 1 and please give me a backstory for your character, it doesn't have to be a book...
What to expect
Preparing for the session
you will need a mic, accounts for Discord and DnDBeyond, you'll need to download the AboveVTT plugin for Chrome or Firefox, come in with an interesting character you wish to play, and a cooperative attitude with the others, as this is a story for all of you!!
What Gamemaster James brings to the table
I will bring the outline of the story, the Discord Channel, Above VTT maps and ambient music. I love doing voices and love going into the players backstories. We are playing together to tell an amazing story together, and I will always work to make that happen!! I do try to balance the three pillars at all time: Exploration, Action, and Roleplaying.

How Gamemaster James creates a safe table
During Session 0, we will go over what the campaign entails, my expectations, and the content covered. We will then go through each player and give them the floor to whatever is a "no go" from them. Any issues that occur during game, please message me and we will fix the problem quickly. I am always able to be messaged and I want everyone to be on the same page at all times.
