About the adventure

Where to start? Well, you’ll need to have a sense of humour and enjoy it lightly toasted, with little burnt bits. It would be best if you’ve read at least one of Pratchett’s Discworld novels.* Some might say one’s not enough, I feel that’s enough to get a taste, and the rest is up to you. If you didn’t laugh once, well it really is okay… and I feel that it’s been nice to meet you and please do try another of my adventures. The party will decided upon which organisation you'll be members of, that could be a Guild or maybe Wizards, Witches, the City Watch, or even a mixed group. It really is smorgasbord of options. This sand box style game will take your ideas as the general direction you’ll travel and you'll be swept along by the Narrativium.** The shenanigans, that follow will see Death having words with at least one of you. As they say, the world is your oyster, but best not eaten if it comes from the River Ankh. * You can even find them in a second hand book stores, if you can find a book store with a second hand. ** This is the magic that powers the Disc. Once we've started, future games will need two or more players. Feel free to drop in for a single session or stay longer.

About me

Hey there, great to see you. I’m known as Japes (jay-ps) by friends and family alike. I’ve loved the escapism of role-playing games since that first game of D&D as a child. It captivated my imagination and I kept on playing. The number and types of games has grown and they have taught me one key thing: these games are at their best when everyone is having fun in a sharing experience. My first game with friends was around our dinner table and the ten-year-old me first tried my hand at being the Dungeon Master - shall we just say that I'm a little wiser now… Around 2020 I started running games online, and those games quickly became many. I feel honoured that several of those players are still in my games today. Don't get me wrong I still enjoy a face to face game around a table, but online brings people from around the world to the table who have a shared love of roleplaying games. Every game here is a safe, creative place to be yourself as long as we're all courteous to each other we can try out those unique character ideas. Whether you'll be a 1920s Call of Cthulhu black female FBI agent, something made of sapient pearwood in the quirky Discworld, or a Fairy Barbarian who flies over the heads of the wizard to growl at the enemy in Daggerheart. Being these different things is what we’re all here to be. And I for one would love to see what those creative idea’s you've got are.

Character creation

Creating your character

🟡 Will be part of Session 0 and we can chat about ideas you have before then. 🟡 Characters are very easy to setup and you'll be playing in under 20mins. 🟡 Original character portrait art to fit the setting and style of your character. 🟡 The simple steps you’ll need to do that fits the groups Organisation choice, are: • Choose a species. Some of them are: Dwarfs, Gargoyles, Gnomes, Goblin, Golems, Human, Igor, Nac Mac Feegle, Troll, Vampires, Undead, Werewolves and Elves (they're nasty so maybe not). Not forgetting you could be a talking animal, or made of Sapient Pearwood. • Background where about you come from. • Niche, which is something you’re good at. • Choose 3 Quirks. These are things that can be wrangled into letting you try omething Your character should be unique. For example its ok to be a Sapient Pearwood Spoon, but not "The Luggage".
