I really appreciate how Chris takes care of all the aspects that, in my opinion, make a good tabletop RPG experience. He makes sure everybody feels safe, welcomed, and is introduced to the game mechanics at their own pace. During character creation and development, he helps players express their own vision and imagination within the framework of the game rules. He also makes an effort to connect the characters (I joined a running campaign) and properly situate them in the world he created. Regarding world-building and campaign writing: Chris writes his own campaigns, which is a big added value for me. He lets you play original stories in coherent worlds, with fleshed-out NPCs who have distinct personalities, motivations, and relationships. The world feels consistent and reactive, but also open, with the story still being shaped by the players. I truly felt that I could act freely and experience meaningful consequences, whether good or bad. All of these are essential ingredients for good role-playing, but it’s difficult to balance them while still leaving so much space for player agency. I think Chris does this extremely well.

My first game with Rich was also my first experience with the Discworld RPG. He led our group of four to have a very very fun one-shot adventure in Terry Pratchett's universe. The gameplay was perfectly balanced and smooth, narratively rich and full of humor. I'm looking forward to the next run through the alley of Ankh-Morpork with Rich!
