About the adventure
Welcome to the Dessarin Valley, a rugged stretch of the Forgotten Realms where sleepy towns, haunted ruins, and unexplored wilderness conceal a growing, ancient threat. What begins as simple investigations into missing travelers and strange weather soon unravels into a dark tale of cults, corrupted elemental magic, and apocalyptic ambition. Can your group uncover the truth and prevent the rise of the four elemental prophets. Or will you be swept away by the forces of destruction? This is a campaign for adventurers who love unraveling mysteries, battling elemental monstrosities, and shaping the fate of a region teetering on the brink. Expect thrilling dungeons, secret plots, memorable NPCs, and morally challenging decisions. Your choices matter, and the world will react as you uncover more about the dangerous cults beneath the surface. Whether you're brand new to D&D or a veteran of the Realms, this game welcomes all. I run games with a focus on collaborative storytelling, cinematic action, character-driven choices, and just the right mix of humor and danger. Roleplay is encouraged, exploration is rewarding, and combat is fast-paced but tactical. So gather your party and prepare to face fire, flood, tremor, and storm. The world is cracking open and only heroes like you can stand in the way of the apocalypse.

About me
Hi, I’m Jenn! Mother of Monsters (ages 7 & 8), retired Marine, and full-time Cleric main turned full-time DM and TTRPG performer. I’ve been behind the screen for about three years now, and what started as escapism quickly became my calling. D&D opened a door for me during a time when I needed somewhere else to be, and before long, I was creating the kinds of worlds and stories I had always wished I could step into. Now, I get to build those worlds for others. My games are deeply character-driven, emotionally immersive, and rooted in the belief that storytelling should feel personal. I specialize in weaving backstories into the main narrative, creating those powerful revelation moments that shift everything. If it hurts a little (in the best way), we’re doing it right. When I’m not crafting cinematic plot twists, I’m obsessed with all things thematic, movie premieres, Ren faires, weekend getaways. If there’s an excuse to cosplay, I’m already planning it. You’ll also find me devouring sweet chili wings, binging YA fandoms, or happily covering my eye through horror movies under a fuzzy blanket. Gym rat by day, pagan witch by night. I lift weights, cast spells, and live for the vibe. D&D was once my escape. Now it’s my art, my profession, and the space where I help others find their own magic.

Creating your character
This campaign is designed to take characters from level to 3 to 13. Character Creation Character creation is one of my favorite parts of TTRPGs. Before Session 0, you’ll have direct access to me to talk through the story you want to tell in this campaign. I can offer ideas, world connections, and narrative hooks... but ultimately, this is your character. I want you deeply invested in who they are, and I’ll support you in whatever way you need to build someone you’re genuinely excited to play. I do often weave in emotional ties, personal stakes, and even trauma to create a more dynamic, character-driven story rather than something purely “by the book.” That said: your character does NOT need to be traumatic to enjoy this game. Some players love that depth. Others don’t. Both are completely valid. Mechanical Guidelines All species, classes, and backgrounds are welcome. Homebrew is allowed with approval to ensure balance. Fixed HP. Stats are rolled: Roll 2 sets of 6 4d6, reroll all 1s, drop the lowest die 20 is the maximum score Start with 1 common and 1 uncommon item Backstories Think about the story you want to tell. Your backstory can be detailed and layered or simple and open-ended. We can connect you to factions, locations, NPCs, and plot threads together. If you’re unsure of your “why,” we’ll discover it collaboratively. You bring the spark. I’ll help you weave it into the world.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
I use Discord for sessions, scheduling, announcements and communication between sessions. D&D Beyond will be used for campaign links and VTT. You don't have to appear on camera if you don't want, so there's no pressure. You show up and I'll handle the rest!
What Jenn brings to the table
I create immersive, living worlds. Expect detailed maps, distinct character voices, evocative visuals, ambient touches, and dynamic NPCs that make the city breathe around you. I want you to feel like you’ve stepped into the story... not just rolled initiative in it. At my table, safety and belonging come first. I am fiercely protective of every member of my community, including LGBTQIA+, BIPOC, femme-presenting, ESL, and disabled players. This is a space where respect is non-negotiable, boundaries are honored, and everyone deserves to feel safe being themselves. I aim for a thoughtful balance between Rule of Cool and Rules as Written. Mechanics matter, but they serve the story, not the other way around. If a cinematic moment elevates the narrative, we’ll find a way to make it work. Above all, storytelling is the heart of what I do. I prioritize collaboration, character growth, and meaningful choices. Every player at my table is important. Every voice is heard. Every character has a place in the spotlight.
Homebrew rules
Homebrew Rules To keep the table fun, fair, and collaborative, here are my standing homebrew guidelines: Party Perk Once your group chooses an adventuring party name, everyone receives one free feat as a gift. Character Guidelines All characters must be legal adults. Romantic encounters will always fade to black. If a PC attempts to charm, frighten, or intimidate another PC, the targeted player has the right to automatically succeed on the save. Player Autonomy & Consent Character autonomy is paramount. Consent is key in all player-to-player dynamics. Any PC romance, internal conflict, or shared backstory connection must be discussed and agreed upon ahead of time. This is a collaborative story. Everyone deserves agency, respect, and the ability to enjoy their character without pressure.

How Jenn creates a safe table
How I Keep My Players Safe Player safety is intentional, ongoing, and collaborative at my table. Session 0 Comes First. We begin every campaign with a dedicated Session 0 where we discuss expectations, tone, themes, and establish clear “go” and “no-go” topics. That list is created live in our channel so everyone can see it, contribute to it, and reference it at any time. It remains a living document and it can be updated whenever needed. Private Communication is Always Open. Not everything is easy to say in a group setting. Players are always welcome to reach out to me privately to share boundaries, concerns, or feedback. Your comfort matters more than public discussion. Aftercare & Debrief. After each session, we check in. We talk about how the session felt, what landed well, and if anything felt uncomfortable. Emotional storytelling deserves emotional care. Regular Check-Ins. Beyond post-session chats, I conduct ongoing check-ins throughout the campaign to make sure everyone still feels safe, excited, and included. Accessibility & Support. My players have consistent access to me outside of game time if they need clarification, support, or simply someone to listen. The game doesn’t end when the session does and neither does my commitment to the people at the table.
