About the adventure

You are most welcome here. ๐Ÿณโ€๐ŸŒˆ ____ You awake to find yourself surrounded by familiar faces, trapped in a crucible that's oozing with challenges, terror, and treasure. Those that survive the slickened halls ahead may just have a chance at seeing daylight again, but those that don't will be forever lost in the sickening halls of the SLIME LORD. ___ This is a Level-0 Gauntlet adventure where each player will make a small "stable" of multiple characters from the same village who attempt escape. Not all will survive the trails ahead. ___ This adventure is being run in support of the Immigrant Rapid Response Fund and the horrible actions of the Federal government in Minnesota.

About me

Hey y'all, I'm Chris. I'm a late 30-something Game Master from and currently living on the edge of Hillbilly Nation in the state of Kentucky. For a little north of the past 20 years I've usually been actively running, or thinking about running, some sort of tabletop roleplaying game. In 2003, I started running games because no one else wanted to play the game I wanted to. Then in 2024, I decided to take the plunge and try asking complete strangers to *pay* me to play make-believe for a few hours every week. To be completely honest, I still have a hard time understanding why, but after a couple of years of doing this at a professional level I'm starting to accept that I might be good at it. I'm a shy person by nature. I have mild stutter, plenty of anxiety, and enough self-doubt to go around -- but I also love being a Game Master. It's fun, it's creatively rewarding, and I'm constantly getting to meet and learn about new people, places, and things when I do it. Listen, I re-wrote and deleted huge chunks of this. I want to respect your time and try to make your experience fun. I want you to feel like you can relax, have a good time, and get engaged in creating a fun experience that makes your 3-ish hours with me a highlight of your week. Everything else is just set dressing.

What WickerGames brings to the table

I'm bringing a welcoming and encouraging environment where I hope that you'll feel free to try clever ideas and revel in their success, but be willing to sit back and enjoy it when things don't go quite as you planned. I use ambient music, so-so voice acting, and the digital tabletop OwlBear Rodeo for digital dice rolling and visual references.

Safety

How WickerGames creates a safe table

Short Version: I expect everyone to behave like adults who have come over to friend's house for dinner. ******** Longer Version: Lines & Veils are welcomed to be discussed before the game begins. Players will also be provided a google form version of the Monte Cooke Consent in Gaming checklist. My personal Lines & Veils are: No sexual assault of any kind will be depicted by the players or the GM. - Explicit sexual or romantic content will be handwaved or treated in a "fade-to-black" manner. - A 10/15-min breaks is taken every 1.5-2.0 hours regardless of total playtime.
