About the adventure

Obojima and the Shape of the Seasons is a gentle, pastoral fantasy campaign about living in a place where magic has never left—it has simply learned to be quiet. Obojima is an island shaped by the turning of the year. Spring brings festivals and returning spirits. Summer hums with labor, travel, and laughter. Autumn remembers what was lost. Winter listens. The seasons do not just pass here—they mean something. They shape the land, the spirits, and the people who call this place home. In this game, you are not heroes racing toward an apocalypse. You are neighbors, travelers, caretakers, artists, shrine-keepers, farmers, apprentices, and wanderers. You build relationships. You learn names—of people, of places, of spirits long forgotten. You take part in festivals, mend old grudges, help a village prepare for the coming cold, or sit quietly with something ancient that simply wants to be remembered. Magic in Obojima is subtle and personal. It lives in rituals passed down imperfectly, in old paths that still know where they lead, in spirits who linger not to threaten but to belong. Conflicts are rarely about defeating an enemy and more often about restoring balance, understanding what was lost, or choosing how to move forward together. This is a story about community—how it frays, how it heals, and how it changes with time. About friendships that grow slowly. About forgotten promises and the quiet joy of keeping them. About finding meaning not in power, but in presence. There can be danger, but it is never the point. Violence is rare, weighty, and avoidable. Cleverness, kindness, curiosity, and care will take you much further than sharp blades or optimized builds. Characters who listen, who notice small details, who care about others will shine brightest here. If you love Studio Ghibli films, slice-of-life fantasy, folklore, rural magic, and stories where the world feels alive and worth protecting—not through conquest, but through connection—this game is for you. Come spend a year in Obojima. Watch the seasons turn. See what remembers you.

About me

I am a 45-year-old gay male. I work as a Licensed Veterinary Technician for poison control and went to school for not only that but animation / vfx. I was a VFX focus so I can't draw but I can make some cool trailers! I am a cast member on a Twitch tabletop streamed game. I have been playing/running a variety of TTRPGs since I was very young. Red Box D&D of the '80s and into the heyday of AD&D in the '90s. I have played every edition released since then and also own numerous books from each era. Dungeons and Dragons however is not the limit of my system knowledge. I own and have tried countless other systems. My preferences have started to lean toward more narrative-based systems. Many of my games will focus on PBtA systems and FATE. I, however, have numerous other systems I would love to bring to the table, such as Power Rangers, Transformers, GI Joe ( Essence20 system), Chronicles of Darkness, Vampire the Requiem, Werewolf the Forsaken...etc( Storyteller System *a personal favorite*) Even the slightly crunchier Fate powered Dresden Files, Mouse Guard, Ironclaw/Jadeclaw, Wanderhome, My Little Pony (If you are feeling animals) Classic Marvel RPG (TSR 4-Color, FASERIP) and many more. If I'm not familiar with it I'm always willing to add it to my collection and learn it! I'm a kind and outgoing person. My tables will always be LGBTQ+ friendly. I have a passion for collaborative storytelling. I will offer a unique gaming experience full of visual references and vibes. This will include custom videos, music, and references. It will also include frequent text-based downtime posts between sessions. There will be 1 scheduled 4-hour sessions/week. The number of sessions depends on the price of the table spot and the specific game being run.
