About the adventure

Step into a whimsical yet dangerous fairy-tale world, where you’ll play as brave level-2 Princesses venturing into a dark, enchanted forest and the mysterious tower of a witch. This one-shot adventure uses the Perils & Princesses system, a rules-light, story-focused game that’s easy to learn and perfect for players of all experience levels. Whether you’re brand new to tabletop roleplaying or a seasoned adventurer, you’ll be able to jump in quickly and start making meaningful choices right away. This is a guided story with a clear objective, but how you reach that goal is entirely up to you. Expect to spend your time exploring strange locations, uncovering magical secrets, and solving problems creatively rather than relying on combat alone. The world is full of danger, but your characters are clever, capable, and absolutely able to rise to the challenge if you think outside the box and work together. The tone of the game is playful and a little silly, but we’ll still take the story and the characters seriously. Think “fairy tale with teeth”: talking animals, magical traps, strange sweets, and unsettling mysteries, all wrapped in a story that balances humor with heartfelt moments and real stakes. This is an adults-only table, but the focus is on collaborative storytelling, creativity, and having fun telling a memorable fairy-tale adventure together.

What Joe Mobley brings to the table

My games are all about player creativity and fun. I bring an open GM style, cultivated from years of experience facilitating and teaching students of all ages. I'm an actor by trade, so I do my best to bring the world to life. The rules are there are there to serve the fun. I do my best to be a fair referee, but am always willing to give a player the benefit of the doubt if they have a good idea!
