About the adventure
Enter the small village of Geisund, and discover the many secrets that lie in the surrounding Southern Valley, as you fight goblins and ghosts, uncover ancient sites, and stop evil cults. This game takes place in my homebrew setting, and features a balance of roleplay, combat, and good old fashioned dungeon crawling, in a character-driven story. This campaign is intended for players of all skill levels, starting at level 1 and going to level 15ish. For new players, I will be available for every step of the process, from character creation to helping with rules and guidance as we play, and for more experienced players, I’ll be there as well to help develop backstories that tie into the campaign.

About me
Hi! I’m Kylar, a story-focused DM who loves TTRPGs! My tables balance tactical combat, meaningful roleplay, and cooperative storytelling. I like to try to blend Rule of Cool with a solid Rules as Written structure. My top priority is simple: everyone has fun, feels included, and gets a chance to shine. I run adventures in my own expanding homebrew world, influenced by Earthsea, Legend of Drizzt, Critical Role, and Worlds Beyond Number. If you enjoy traditional fantasy with character driven arcs, moral dilemmas, and dynamic battles, you’ll feel right at home.

Creating your character
Characters will be made prior to the first session, on D&D Beyond. Stats will be decided with standard array or point buy, and we will be using classes and rules from the 2014 Player's Handbook (Legacy content on D&D Beyond). If anyone owns other content, we can use that as well. In the setting, any subclass is allowed, but races will be limited to those in the PHB.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Players will need a D&D Beyond account, and a discord account. Joining this game will get you the link to the Discord server.
What Kylar brings to the table
I do my best to provide tactical combat, as well as ambient music to capture the vibe of each and every situation. I believe in a good mix of Rule of Cool and Rules as Written. Rules exist for a reason, but this is also a game, and we deserve to have some fun.
Homebrew rules
The only modified/homebrew rules I use are that potions are a bonus action, and I use slightly grittier rules for survival/travel and death saving throws, as well as using the 2024 Exhaustion rules.

How Kylar creates a safe table
All players have the opportunity to let me know of any subjects that may be sensitive to them, and also to message me with X's and O's as necessary. As long as you can treat everyone with decency and respect, we'll get along just fine.
