About me

I am a canadian national living in India, and host regular in-person sessions frequently. As a seasoned game master and ttrpg hobbyist of 20+ years, I have a penchant for system design, and a soft spot for roleplaying and rules-light systems. I am currently working on a cinematic pulp-horror RPG system with a small publisher, as well as a personal project loosely based on the coin-flipping oracle of the I-Ching (Divination tool) set in a post apocalypse setting. I have also written and published material on DrivethruRPG, including a system I designed to facilitate player character creation called Pyre. I got my start in AD&D at about age 14, and my first game took place every week over 4 years. The ups and downs, the rivalries, and the incredible adventures we shared left us wanting more, and I very quickly began writing one shots and mini campaigns to play alongside the larger game. Honestly, though, I have been creating games in some form or other since I could talk - I have memories in childhood of drawing elaborate labyrinths and creating platformer 'levels' with fridge magnets for my younger brother to navigate. Whether spaceships or dragons (or both?), I'm a nerd and proud of it!

Creating your character

The main focus of the session is creating a character! We will go over the details during the session!

Safety

How Jeremy creates a safe table

We will be keeping everything G-Rated for this session - there won't be much storytelling or actual game play, mainly character creation and learning the ropes of D&D 5e. That said, we will have breaks as needed, an Open Door policy, Stars and Wishes at the end of the session, and the 'X' card will be available for participants to veto any topics they find inappropriate or uncomfortable. All in all, it will be a laid back session dedicated to new players getting a feel for the game.
