About the adventure
"Only a fool declares the world black and white while knowing of rainbows. There are never only two options. There is not only a third option but a thousand third options. We are those options. We are the Thousand Thirds." War between the two largest empires, The Osolt Khan to the south and Cresterii Empire to the north have raged for 53 years. As always, however, there are those caught in the crossfire. Regular people trying to live their lives amidst the footsteps of rampaging titans. You are a part of an organization dedicated to helping those people. The land is full of new magics, bandits, monsters and all manner of deadly phenomenon. Normal people are dealing with them best they can, but if they can round up the gold, they can call in the specialists. The Thousand Thirds is an organization dedicated to handling things with more nuance than friend and foe. Every contract accepted by the them must include the clause, "Upon arrival, the Thousand Thirds are authorized to resolve the situation however they see fit." This clause maintains the Thousand Third's impartiality amongst two warring factions and prevents them from falling into the trap of just being hired thugs. However, their reputation for good judgement becomes their brand and one member's choices impact the value of the entire guild. About me
I'm a GM with roughly 10 years of experience with an expertise in story writing. I've run hundreds of custom games that specialize in backstory incorporation and building the world along with the players. If you have a crazy (read "broken") idea, I am an expert in balancing - rebalancing and evolving! RPGs are social foremost, and I love meeting new people and getting everyone on the same page. I'm a little tough as a DM, but new players always appreciate the clarity and fairness I bring to the table, and old players love the surprises and respect to everyone involved. I have sooooooo many books and materials. Just contact me at least an hour before game time and I can usually make a great character with you. If you have a character already, Great! The setting is flexible and most characters have a place in the Thousand Thirds!
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Webcam and Mic are preferred, but Mic only is fine. Rules and character creation can be handled beforehand quite easily. Especially if you are new. Programs and online resources and complete rule knowledge come with time. I'll handle most of it and we'll get you connected bit by bit over time!

I specialize in plot writing more than anything and love integrating characters into a setting or story. While I improvise with the best of them, I use tons of maps, music, and fun lil extras to build an immersive experience. Stats For Nerds: 2024 rules 1d8 upcast for conjure minor elementals Silvery Barbs is a 2nd level spell. (If its on Dnd beyond, probably ok. Confirm with DM) Point buy or standard array Hp at half die Flanking = +2 to hit. Critical success equals max damage then roll dice again. Encumberance is ignored Non-Lethal damage, if declared, means target has resistance to the damage you are about to deal. Potion drinking is a bonus action. Potion administering is an action Experience Points, not milestone. Banned Alignments: chaotic evil, neutral evil, chaotic neutral, and true neutral. PVP and Character Death are possible.

All Thousand Third one shots follow the same 3 rules. 1. No Talking Over Each Other: This is the equivalent of taking your little brother's controller. This whole game is talking. Please let everyone play. 2. "That's what my character would do" is an insufficient excuse for bad behavior. Build a better character. 3. This is a Game: A. You can be better or worse at it. You can die. The dice can ruin a great plan. My job as your DM is to help you improve at playing the game, but it is still a game. B. It is a game. It is not more important than any of the players at the table. I made the whole world. You may find something makes you feel squeamish, offended or uncomfortable. I wrote it, I can un/rewrite it. I'm not married to it. Changing the game in the middle is a feature of guided RPGs not a bug. Make sure you are enjoying the game to the fullest!
