About the adventure

"Among the ancient ruins of a fallen world, the great walled cities of the Echo Vale sit as bastions of hope in an otherwise hostile land. Utilizing technology powered by mysterious language that runs through metal threads tethered high above the valley, these citadels insulate their citizens from the Wastes, where autonomous machines roam wild and massive wandering cities scour the land for scrap. But when a malicious virus infects the machine beasts that work alongside the people of the valley, the once docile creations turn violent. In this campaign, you will play extraordinary heroes armed with advanced technology, leaving the safety of the walled city to travel the wastes and bring peace to the vale once more!" Character creation

Creating your character

We will build characters during a session 0, or one-on-one with me, the dm if you join midway through the campaign. For this campaign, you will get to build a customizable weapon, called an Ikonis, using the rules provided in the Motherboard Campaign frame.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

For this campaign, you will need a Discord and and Roll20 account. I also advise you not to build your characters with Demiplane since there seem to be issues with the custom weapon rules in this campaign frame.

What Gabriel brings to the table

For this adventure, your game master will bring their “A” game with handpicked battle maps for combat and unique character voices for every NPC. Here is a further breakdown of what you can expect from your GM. Combat “During combat, I turn on epic battle music and keep the pressure on. Your opponents will fight with every tool at their disposal, and I, your GM, will spend fear whenever it keeps the threats feeling big; that way, your inevitable victories will feel all the more impactful. Daggerheart, thanks to its Death Moves mechanic, is a game where your characters can only die if you, the player, are willing to let it happen. So I, your game master, am not afraid to go all out!" Roleplay “When I do roleplay encounters, I give each NPC a unique voice and personality to keep them distinct in your mind. Their personalities are big and theatrical, designed to bounce off your own characters for a fun and engaging scenes.”

Homebrew rules

This campaign doesn't use any homebrew rules. If you want to use your own homebrew, run it by your game master, and he will work with you to make it balanced for the game.

Safety

How Gabriel creates a safe table

We will run a session 0 to build characters, establish everyone's boundaries, and set clear goals. During any session, you will be able to step away at any time if you feel the need. After a session is over, we will debrief to see how everyone felt about the game, making sure everyone had a good time, and if some didn't, we will discuss what we can do to improve it or make the player more comfortable.
